Answer:

Option 2: Job A offers a higher salary and more days off.

Explanation:

Three of the four statements state that the two jobs have a high salary.

Option 1 doesn´t make it clear whether Job A has more or fewer employee benefits than Job B.

Options 2 and 3 state that Job A has more days off than Job B.

Option 4 mentions that Job B has benefits for employees such as Job A, but doesn´t match options 2 and 3 that state that Job B actually has fewer days off.

Therefore, the statement that correctly compares both jobs is option 2, Job A offers a higher salary and more days off.

Which of the following explains why multiple early hearths of domestication and diffusion of plants and animals arose across the
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Multiple early hearths of domestication and diffusion of plants and animals arose across the world in Central America, the Fertile Crescent, the Indus River valley, and Southeast Asia because Option 2. Domestication of plants and animals evolved in each hearth independently of one another as societies in each area learned and applied the process to local plants and animals.

Explanation:

Domestication means the process in which wild 'plants and animals' are adapted for human use. They are raised and and taken care by humans. They do so for food or involve them in work, clothing and so on. Early hearths of 'domestication' of plants and animals arose in the 'Fertile Crescent' and then many other regions including 'Indus River Valley', Southeast Asia, and 'Central America'. Each valley of the river had its own distinct plants and animals. Each society learned its own process and applied the same.

Which speaker would baron de montesquieu most likely agree with?
vampirchik [111]
Speaker 1: The will of the people is what is best for society.
Speaker 2: People exchange some of their individual freedoms for protection by the government.
Speaker 3: Governments should be divided into branches that are separate but equal.
Speaker 4: Governments derive their powers from the consent of the people.

The Baron de Montesquieu would most likely agree with the Speaker 3, as it was Montesquieu who theorize first that a government should be divided into branches that are separated but equal (the three branches should be executive, legislative and judiciary), in order to avoid that one of the three could acquire more power than the other and as a form of control of democracy.

Why would the term habeas corpus be used to describe imprisonment?
denis23 [38]
Back in the olden days Latin (dead language) was considered to be classy.
So all the "smart" people had to learn it.
Now it is habitual for snooty people to set themselves apart by continuing to use it. It sounds so elitist to say "habeas corpus" instead of saying bring me the prisoner so we can see if (s)he is still alive, and well.

What was one significant accomplishment of the Hoover administration during his first year in office?
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

The best answer to your question: What was one significant accomplishment of the Hoover administration during his first year in office, would be, B: Creation of a federal agricultural program to regulate farm prices.

Explanation:

Herbert Hoover became the 31st president of the United States right when the country, and the world, was on the verge of a major financial crisis; the Great Depression. Although Hoover attempted several policies to try and help change the situation, both his conservative views on government interventionism, and other factors, prevented these policies from having the desired effect. Among the many areas of American life in which Hoover attempted to help with his policies, was the agricultural field. As such, in 1929 he signed into law the Agricultural Maketing Act, and established with it the Federal Farm Board, which attempted to stabilize prices through cooperatives and corporations, ensure the proper sale of American agricultural products and also ensure the buying of the surplus production by the federal government to help with the stabilization of prices. This is why the answer is B.
