To find the volume of a sphere you have to use the equation
V = 4/3 π r³         Substitute in the r value (8)
V = 4/3 π 8³        Simplify the exponent
V = 4/3 π 512     Multiply 4/3 and 8 (In other words ; (4 x 512) / 3)
V = 682.67 π      Multiply
V = 2143.5838 cm³

Gil buys 4 books for $16. Then he sells 3 CDs for $27. Write equations for y, Gil’s change in money after buying a book, and for
guajiro [1.7K]

Given:

Gil buys 4 books for $16. Then he sells 3 CDs for $27.

To find:

The equations for y, Gil’s change in money after buying a book, and for x, his change in money after selling a CD, in standard form.

Slope of each equation.

Solution:

Gil buys 4 books for $16.

4 books = $16

1 book = $4

Let n be the number of book purchased, then change in money after buying n book is

y=-4n

Here, negative sign represents decrease in money. Here, slope of -4 it means the money decreased by $4 after buying each book.

He sells 3 CDs for $27.

3 CDs =$27

1 CDs =$9

Let c be the number of CDs sold, then change in money after selling m CDs is

x=9m

Here, slope of 9 it means the money increased by $9 after selling each CD.

Each side of a square field is 50m long. A barricade is to be placed along the diagonal of the field. Find the length of the bar
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

70.71m

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the diagonal, we can use Pythagiras theorem by splitting the field in half and creating a right angled triangle.

A^2+B^2=C^2

50^2+50^2=C^2

5000=C^2

Square root 5000= 70.71m (2dp)

Hope this helped!

Using approximations to 1 significant figure check that your answer to part a makes sense
natka813 [3]

Answer:

A significant figure is the first digit in a number that isn't zero. You round to this.

Step-by-step explanation:

E.g. 1959302 to 1 Sig Fig = 2000000

You round to the first figure that isn't zero, which is one

E.g 0.000001373 to 1 Sig Fig = 0.000001 because that 1 is the first digit that isn't zero
