A charity organization had a fundraiser where each ticket was sold for a fixed price of \$70$70dollar sign, 70. They had to sell

a few tickets just to cover necessary production costs. After selling 101010 tickets, they were still at a net loss of \$800$800dollar sign, 800 (due to the production costs). Let P(n)P(n)P, left parenthesis, n, right parenthesis denote the net profit from the fundraiser PPP (measured in dollars) as a function of the number of tickets sold nnn. Price of each ticket = $70
The revenue generated from sales of 10 tickets = 70 x 10 = $700

After selling the 10 tickets, organization was still at loss of $800. This means total product cost of tickets = $800 + $700 = $ 1500

Net Profit = Revenue - Cost

Revenue from n tickets will be = 70n
Cost = $1500

So, net profit as a function of number of tickets sold = P(n) = 70n - 1500

x^2+1/2x+1/16=4/9 Factor the perfect-square trinomial on the left side of the equation. (x + )² = 4/9
Nezavi [6.7K]
The missing number is the square-root of the constant term on the left-hand-side, which equals sqrt(1/16)=1/sqrt(16)=1/4.
Check:
(x+1/4)^2=x^2+2*(1/4)x+(1/4)^2=x^2+x/2+1/16.   ok

Here is the scale model of a fountain at a museum the scale is 1:30 how many boulders are in the real fountain
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

When we do a scale model of something (like a building, a house, or whatever) al the properties of the original thing must also be in the model.

So for example, you want to do a model of a house, and in the backyard of the house there are 4 trees, then in the model of the house you also need to put 4 trees in the backyard (indifferent of the scale of the model).

Then the number of boulders in the really fountain should be the same as the number of boulders in the scale model of the fountain.
