There are several ways to show this.
1. You can compare the slopes from any point to the other two. (Too much arithmetic and fractions fro my taste.)

2. You can graph the points and see if they line up.

3. You can write the equation for the line and see of the point satisfies it. We'll do that here.

_____
The given points are the line's intercepts, so we can write the equation in intercept form as
.. x/2 +y/4 = 1
..2x +y = 4 . . . . . . . Multiply by 4 to get the standard form equation for the line

Now, it is easy to check the offered point.
.. 2(-25) +81 = -50 +81 = 31 ≠ 4 . . . . . . . . the point is not on the line.

Kay [80]

Answer:

Ethan and Tenaya ate more than half of their pizza.

Sam and Suzy ate less than half of their pizza.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that each of the four friends ordered individual pizzas. They ate some part of the pizzas and we have to find who ate more than half of their pizza? Less than half?

Suzy ate 3/8 of her pizza. It means she ate 0.375 of her pizza which is less than half.

Ethan ate 3/5 of his pizza. It means he ate 0.6 of his pizza which is greater than half.

Tenaya ate 4/6 of her pizza. It means she ate 0.67 of his pizza which is greater than half.

Sam ate 1/3 oh his pizza. It means he ate 0.3 of his pizza which is less than half.

Hence, we can conclude that

Ethan and Tenaya ate more than half of their pizza.

Sam and Suzy ate less than half of their pizza.

Helga [31]

Answer: Alternative Hypothesis

Ha : u ≠ 80 inches ( mean not equal to 80 inches)

Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis (H0) tries to show that no significant variation exists between variables or that a single variable is no different than its mean.

While an alternative Hypothesis (Ha) attempt to prove that a new theory is true rather than the old one. That a variable is significantly different from the mean.

For the case above, the mean door height is 80 inches

H0 : u = 80 inches

Ha : u ≠ 80 inches ( mean not equal to 80 inches)

a marathon is 26.2 miles. If Sally ran a marathon in 3 hours 3 minutes what was her approximate pace in minutes?
Tom [10]

Let's turn 3 hours and 3 minutes into minutes.

One hour=60×3=180+3=183

So, there's 183 minutes in 3 hours and 3 minutes. We need to divide 26.2 miles by 183.

26.2÷183≈ 0.143

So, Sally ran 0.143 miles every minute.
