Answer:

The exact probability = 0.0431

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: A bag contain - Caramels= 12, mints= 12, bars of dark chocolates=  14

Marilyn picks three items from the bag without replacement.

Total number of items 12+12+14=36

Now, probability = favorable outcome / total no. of outcomes

Probability of picking a mint = \frac{12}{36}=\frac{1}{3}

After picking a mint there are :

caramels=10, mints=11, bars of chocolate=14

Total items in the bag=35

Probability of picking another mint =  \frac{11}{35}

now, caramels=10, mints=10, bars of chocolate=14

Total items in the bag=34

Probability of picking a bar of dark chocolate =  \frac{14}{34}=\frac{7}{17}

The exact probability of picking the items:

=\frac{1}{3}\times\frac{11}{35}\times\frac{7}{17}

=\frac{77}{1785}

=0.0431

Therefore, the exact probability = 0.0431

10+12+14 = 36

12/36 x 11/35 x 14/34 = 11/255

At the rate of $2.00 per square foot the cost of painting the rectangular board with a semicircular top shown in the figure is $
Elenna [48]
Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. I hope the answer will help you. Feel free to ask more questions here.
<span>
it consists of a rectangle, dimensions  L = 4ft and W = 3ft = Ar = 4ft x 3ft = 12 ft^2

</span>then, you have one half of the area of the circle that has diameter  R = 3ft - radius will be r = 1.5ft the area of that half will be:

Ac = r^2 \pi/ 2
= (1.5 ft)^2 x 3.14 / 2
= 2.25 ft^2 x 3.4/2
= 7.065 ft^2/ 2
= 3.5325ft^2

A = Ar + Ac
A = 12ft^2 + 3.5325ft^2
A = 15.5325ft^2

<span>At the rate of $2 per square foot, the cost will be:
$ 15.5325*2 = 31.07 </span>

Simplify sin θ / square root 1 - sin^2 θ
Soloha48 [4]

Recall that

\cos^2\theta+\sin^2\theta=1

which means

\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\sqrt{1-\sin^2\theta}}=\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\sqrt{\cos^2\theta}}

Now, \cos\theta could be positive or negative, which means \sqrt{\cos^2\theta}=|\cos\theta|. If we specifically knew the sign of \cos\theta was positive, then we can simplify and write

\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\sqrt{1-\sin^2\theta}}=\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta}=\tan\theta

or if it's negative,

\dfrac{\sin\theta}{\sqrt{1-\sin^2\theta}}=\dfrac{\sin\theta}{-\cos\theta}=-\tan\theta

The following function represents the production cost f(x), in dollars, for x number of units produced by company 1:
tamaranim1 [39]
Company 1: f(x) = 0.25x² - 8x + 600
f(6) = 0.25(6²) - 8(6) + 600 = 9 - 48 + 600 = 561
f(8) = 0.25(8²) - 8(8) + 600 = 16 - 64 + 600 = 552
f(10) = 0.25(10²) - 8(10) + 600 =  25 - 80 + 600 = 545
f(12) = 0.25(12²) - 8(12) + 600 = 36 - 96 + 600 = 540
f(14) = 0.25(14²) - 8(14) + 600 = 49 - 112 + 600 = 537

company 2:
  x       g(x)
  6        862.2
  8        856.8
10        855
12        856.8
14        862.2

Based on the given information, the minimum production cost of company 2 is greater than the minimum production cost of company 1.
