Single Keto group favors keto group over enol group due to following reason.

Unlike in beta-dicarbonyl compounds (which favors enol form) single keto group ketones are more stable in keto form.

For stability I searched for the bond energies. Below are the two forms. You can easily see the three different types of bonds and their energies. The main difference comes in the bond energy of C=O (carbonyl) group, which has the highest energy. Other energies are some what close to each other.

Remember: Greater the bond energies, greater will be the stability of compound.

Result:
The reason is "C=O bond is much stronger than C=C Bond".

15. Using the information below, calculate ΔHf° for PbO(s)
Svet_ta [14]
ΔH(reaction) = ΔH(formation of products) - ΔH(formation of reactants)
ΔH(reaction) = ( 1*ΔH(Pb(s)) + 1*ΔH(CO2(g)) ) - ( 1*ΔH(PbO(s)) + 1*ΔH(CO(g)) )
ΔH(reaction) = ( 0 + -393.5 ) - ( ΔH(PbO(s)) + -110.5 )
ΔH(reaction) = -283 - ΔH(PbO(s))
-131.4 = -283 -ΔH(PbO(s))
ΔH(PbO(s)) = -151.6 kJ

So, the best answer is A.

kondaur [170]
Best Answer
1 mole of a substance contains 6.022x10^23 "units" of that substance.

So 0.187 mol of Na+ is 1.13x10^23 ions (6.022x10^23 x 0.187).

Fiesta28 [93]

Table salt (NaCl) is a compound. Every molecule of table salt has the same properties as every other molecule of table salt because they all have one sodium (Na) atom and one chlorine (Cl) atom. This is referred to as fixed composition.

Hope this helps! Please correct me if I'm wrong :)
