Metallic elements are flexible because of its experience for the atoms to roll on top of one added without crushing its metallic bond (This is because it is fascinated with united force, and is the cause why they have higher melting/boiling points); however, a nonmetals form atomic bonds which don't have this property.

Metallic elements can bend because they have the property of being ductile. This means that a solid material stretches under tensile stress. If a material is ductile then it may be stretched into a wire. Further, the material can also be malleable.

How do moss leaves and fish differ? How are they the same?
Lapatulllka [165]
Moss leaves and fish are different in that, the moss leave is a producer, that is, it produces its own food through photosynthesis while the fish is a consumer, it feeds on foods that are not produced by it.
Both moss and fish are the same in the sense that both have cell as their basic unit of life, that is, they both possess cells.

If Co(NH3)63+ has a λmax at 440 nm, calculate ΔE for the complex. A) 2.72 x 10-4 kJ/mol B) 4.52 x 10-2 kJ/mol C) 2.72 x 10 2 kJ/
riadik2000 [5.3K]

<u>Answer:</u> The energy of the complex is 2.72\times 10^2kJ

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the energy of the complex, we use the equation given by Planck which is:

\Delta E=\frac{N_Ahc}{\lambda}

where,

\lambda = Wavelength of the complex = 440nm=4.40\times 10^{-7}m    (Conversion factor:  1m=10^9nm )

h = Planck's constant = 6.624\times 10^{-34}Js

c = speed of light = 3\times 10^8m/s

N_A = Avogadro's number = 6.022\times 10^{23}

\Delta E = energy of the complex

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\Delta E=\frac{6.022\times 10^{23}\times 6.624\times 10^{-34}\times 3\times 10^8}{4.40\times 10^{-7}}\\\\\Delta E=2.72\times 10^{5}J=2.72\times 10^2kJ

Conversion factor used:  1 kJ = 1000 J

Hence, the energy of the complex is 2.72\times 10^2kJ

A 250. ml sample of 0.0328m hcl is partially neutralized by the addition of 100. ml of 0.0245m naoh. find the concentration of h
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer: 0.0164 molar concentration of hydrochloric acid in the resulting solution.

Explanation:

1) Molarity of 0.250 L HCl solution : 0.0328 M

Molarity=\frac{\text{Number of moles}}{\text{Volume of solution in liters}}=0.0328=\frac{\text{Number of moles}}{0.250 L}

Moles of HCl in 0.250 L solution = 0.0082 moles

2) Molarity of 0.100 L NaOH solution : 0.0245 M

Molarity=\frac{\text{Number of moles}}{\text{Volume of solution in liters}}=0.0245=\frac{\text{Number of moles}}{0.100 L}

Moles of NaOH in 0.100 L solution = 0.00245 moles

3) Concentration of hydrochloric acid in the resulting solution.

0.00245 moles of NaOH will neutralize 0.00245 moles of HCl out of 0.0082 moles of HCl.

Now the new volume of the solution = 0.100 L +0.250 L = 0.350 L

Moles of HCl left un-neutralized = 0.0082 moles - 0.00245 moles =  0.00575 moles

Molarity=\frac{\text{number of moles}}{\text{volume of solution in L}}

Molarity of HCl left un-neutralized :\frac{0.00575 moles}{0.350L}=0.0164 M

0.0164 molar concentration of hydrochloric acid in the resulting solution.

On a trip to the natural history museum you find two minerals that are similar in color. You can see from their chemical formula
lianna [129]

Answer:Yes they are in the same mineral group

Explanation:zinc is the central elements there. The rest of the elements are present as impurities due to where it was found. Like carbon is can be found in the soil, silicon with oxygen is basically sand, hydrogen is in the atmosphere and also in water and soil too. So apart from zinc, the rest are normal day to day elements.
