The Nixon case is a perfect demonstration of separation of powers which is a key tenet in democracy. Although Nixon argued that he enjoyed executive privilege and that the judiciary lacked power to compel him in the exercise of his discretion, the court upheld a decision compelling him to disclose material for evidence. Also, his conduct was investigated by Congress. This shows the separation of powers between the Judiciary, Executive and the Legislature.
