Answer:

5² + 12² = 13²

Step-by-step explanation:

Pythagorean theorem defines the relationship between the 3 sides of a right angled triangle. These are the opposite side, hypotenuse side and the adjacent side.

The theorem states that the sum of the squares of the lengths of the opposite side and the adjacent side is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse such that mathematically,

a² + b² = c²

where a and b are the lengths of the opposite and adjacent side and c is the length of the hypotenuse

Considering the numbers 5, 12 and 13,

5² + 12² = 25 + 144

= 169

= 13²

Hence

5² + 12² = 13²

The numbers 5, 12 and 13 can be used to correctly identify the sides of a right triangle, and this can be proven by using the Pythagorean Theorem.

5² + 12² = 13²
25 + 144 = 169
169 = 169

5 and 12 are the legs, and 13 is the hypotenuse. Hopefully this is what the question is asking. :)

Mariana [72]

Erica earned a total of $50,450 last year from her two jobs. The amount she earned from her job at the store was $1,250 more than four times the amount she earned from her job at the college.

Lets x be the amount she earned from here job at college

amount she earned at the store = 4 * amount earned at college + 1250

= 4x + 1250

Amount earned at college + amount earned at store = 50450

x + 4x + 1250 = 50450

5x + 1250 = 50450

Subtract 1250 from both sides

5x = 49200 (divide by 5)

x = 9840

she earn $9840 from her job at the college

Lesechka [4]

Answer: Long -term capital gain

Step-by-step explanation:

Serena is single, so based on the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, she would pay no capital gains tax on the first $250,000 gain.

Therefore, $300,000 - $250,000 = $50,000

The remaining $50,000 gain is taxable because of her being single and it has been her principal residence for three years.

AVprozaik [17]
All you have to do is divide the volume of the container (43.875) by 5 (length) and 3.9 (width) because the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism is V=lwh. So the answer/height of the storage container is 2.25 meters
