Formula we will use to solve IQR: Q3-Q1=IQR

Solve for Q3 and Q1 for both box plots:

Hospital A: 89 - 70 = 9 = IQR
Hospital B: 96 - 61 = 35 = IQR

Thus, the interquartile range for hospital A is 9 and the interquartile range for hospital B is 35.

The number of patients visiting hospital B each day is more varied because the IQR is higher thus making the range of visiting patients vary. Another trick is to just look at the whiskers of the box plot and see how it's skewed. If it's unevenly skewed, then that means the data will vary due to outliers.

Distance between (2, 5) and (8, 5) = 8 - 2 = 6
Distance between (8, 5) and (8, 3) = 5 - 3 = 2
Distance between (8, 3) and (2, 3) = 8 - 2 = 6
Distance between (2, 3) and (2, 5) = 5 - 3= 2

Total length of border = 6 + 2 + 6 + 2 = 16

S(p) = 400 - 4p + 0.00002p^4
D(p) = 2800 - 0.0012p^3

S(p) = D(p)
400 - 4p + 0.00002p^4 = 2800 - 0.0012p^3
0.00002p^4 + 0.0012p^3 - 4p - 2400 = 0
