<u>Find cost of 1 necklace:</u>

20 necklaces = $500

1 necklace = $500 ÷ 20 = $25

<u>Find Sales of 3/4 of the necklaces:</u>

3/4 of 20 = 3/4 x 20 = 15 necklaces

15 necklaces sold at $40 each = 15 x 40 = $600

<u>Find Sales of the remaining necklaces:</u>

20 - 15 = 5

5 necklaces sold at $25 = 5 x 25 = $125

<u>Find profit:</u>

Total Sales = $600 + $ 125 = $ 725

Total profit made = $725 - $500 = $225

Answer: She made $225

$725

3/4 of 20 = 15 necklaces

15 x 40 = 600

The rest:

5 x 25 = 125

125 + 600

= 725

Gala2k [10]

To solve this problem, let us first define what is mean and median. Mean is the average of all the numbers in the data set while the median is the number in the middle of the data set in ascending order.

If we create a box plot for the data of Rome and New York, we can see that there is an outlier in the data for New York. Since New York has an outlier, so the mean is not a good representation on the central tendency of the data. The mean is skewed (distorted) by the outlier. So in this case it is better to use the median.<span>

While the Rome data is nice and symmetrical, it does not seem to have an outlier,  so we can use the mean for this data set.</span>

Therefore the answer is:

<span>The Rome data center is best described by the mean. The New York data center is best described by the median</span>

A marble is selected at random from a jar containing 3 red marbles, 4 yellow marbles, and 6 green marbles. What is the probabi
alexgriva [62]

Answer:  a) \dfrac{3}{13},\ b)\dfrac{9}{13}\ c)\dfrac{9}{13},\ d)\dfrac{4}{13}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of red marbles = 3

Number of yellow marbles = 4

Number of green marbles = 6

Total number of marbles = 3 +4 +6 = 13

a) the marble is red?

Probability of getting a red marble = \dfrac{3}{13}

b) the marble is not yellow?

Probability of not getting yellow = \dfrac{3+6}{13}=\dfrac{9}{13}

c) the marble is either red or green?

Probability of getting either red or green = P(red) + P(green) =\dfrac{3}{13}+\dfrac{6}{13}=\dfrac{9}{13}

d) the marble is neither red nor green?

Probability of getting neither red nor green = P(getting yellow) = \dfrac{4}{13}

Hence, a) \dfrac{3}{13},\ b)\dfrac{9}{13}\ c)\dfrac{9}{13},\ d)\dfrac{4}{13}

Devon purchased a new car valued at $16,000 that depreciated continuously at a rate of 35%. Its current value is $2,000. The equ
irga5000 [103]

I hope the equation will be 2000=16000(1-r)^t because t is missing in the equation which we need to find.

Given rate: r= 35%= 0.35.

So, first step is to plug in 0.35 for r in the given formula to get the value of t.

Hence, the equation will be:

2000=16000(1-0.35)^t

2000=16000(0.65)^t (By subtraction)

2000/16000= 16000(0.65)^t /16000 (Dividing each sides by 16000)

0.125 = 0.65^t (By simplifying).

log 0.125 = log 0.65^t (Taking log each sides to isolate t).

log 0.125 = t log 0.65 (By applying the log property).

\frac{log 0.125}{log 0.65} =t (Dividing each sides by log 0.65)

-0.903/-0.187 =t

t= 4.83

t= 5 ( Rounded to nearest integers)

So, Devon's car is 5 years old.
