Answer:

12.5% of the class are both honor students and athletes

Step-by-step explanation:

The Class has a total of 160 students. Of those 160 students, 80 are neither athletes or honor students. That leaves 80 students left.

Out of those 80 students, 60 students are athletes and 40 students are honor students. since 60+40 = 100 , that means that 20 students are BOTH athletes and honor students. We can now calculate what percentage 20 is in a class of 160 students.

\frac{20}{160} = 0.125

0.125*100 = 12.5% ........we multiply by 100 to turn the decimal into a percent.

So we can see that 12.5% of the class are both honor students and athletes.

Expand and simplify (k-3)^7
nikklg [1K]
There are a couple of ways you can solve this. You can write it out like
(K-3)(K-3)(K-3)(K-3)(K-3)(K-3)(K-3)
And pretty much use the foil method
Or you can use the binomial theorem (google it if you dont know)
The solution should be:
(K^7) - 21(k^6) + 189(k^5) - 945(k^4) + 2835(k^3) - 5103(k^2) + 5103k - 2187

Find the area under the standard normal curve to the right of z=1.9
tresset_1 [31]

To find the area to the right of a positive z-score, begin by reading off the area in the standard normal distribution table. Since the total area under the bell curve is 1, we subtract the area from the table from 1. For example, the area to the left of z = 1.02 is given in the table as .846.
