The molecular formula of the compound is ZnCO_{3}, from the molecular formula it is clear that 1 mol of ZnCO_{3} contains 3 mol of oxygen.

Also, in 1 mol there are 6.023\times 10^{23} atoms thus, 3 mol of oxygen will have 18.069\times 10^{23} atoms of oxygen.

Thus, there are 18.069\times 10^{23} atoms of oxygen present in 1 mol of ZnCO_{3}.

1 atom of oxygen will be there in 3\times 6.023\times 10^{23}=5.53\times 10^{-25} mol.

Number of oxygen atoms given is 3.11\times 10^{22} thus, this will be present in 3.11\times 10^{22}\times 5.53\times 10^{-25} mol.=0.01721 mol of ZnCO_{3}.

Molar mass of ZnCO_{3} is 125.388 g/mol, thus, mass can be calculated as follows:

n=\frac{m}{M}

Rearranging the above equation,

m=n\times M

Putting the values,

m=(0.01721 mol)\times (125.388 g/mol)=2.16 g

Therefore, the mass of ZnCO_{3}  is 2.16 g.

A piston containing 0.120moles of methane gas, CH4, has a volume of 2.12liters. If methane is added until the volume is increase
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

2.83 g

Explanation:

At constant temperature and pressure, Using Avogadro's law

\frac {V_1}{n_1}=\frac {V_2}{n_2}

Given ,

V₁ = 2.12 L

V₂ = 3.12 L

n₁ = 0.120 moles

n₂ = ?

Using above equation as:

\frac{2.12}{0.120}=\frac{3.12}{n_2}

2.12n_2=0.12\cdot \:3.12

2.12n_2=0.3744

n_2=\frac{0.3744}{2.12}

n_2=0.17660

n₂ = 0.17660 moles

Molar mass of methane gas = 16.05 g/mol

So, Mass = Moles*Molar mass = 0.17660 * 16.05 g = 2.83 g

<u>2.83 g  are in the piston.</u>

Complete Question

The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

The correct option is  E_{cell}__{AC}} = 0.94

Explanation:

  From the question we are told that

          the cell voltage for AD is  E_{cell}__{AD}} = 1.56V

From the data give we can see that

               E_{cell}__{AD}} - E_{cell}__{BD}} = E_{cell}__{AB}}

i.e           1.56 - 1.53 = 0.03

   In the same way we can say that

              E_{cell}__{AD}}-E_{cell}__{CD}} = E_{cell}__{AC}}

=>        E_{cell}__{AC}}=1.56- 0.62

                       E_{cell}__{AC}} = 0.94

Some versions of the periodic table show hydrogen at the top of Group 1A(1) and at the top of Group 7A(17). What properties of h
lawyer [7]

Answer:Hydrogen is placed such because it exhibits some similar characteristics of both group1 and group VII elements.

Explanation:

The reason why hydrogen is similar to group 1 metals:

#It has same valence electron and inorder achieve octet state it can lose that electron and forms H+ ion

#It acts as a good reducing agent similar to group1 metals

#It can also halides

Similarity to halogens:

#hydrogen can also gain one electron to gain noble gas configuration. It can combine with other non metals to form molecules with covalent bonding.

#It exists as diatomin molecule,H2

#Have the same electronegativity nature

#its reaction with other metal
