Answer with explanation:

Total number of Wheels that Mr. Schwartz has = 85 wheels

Number of wheels used by Mr.Schwartz for each car he builds = 4 Wheels

It is given that, Mr. Schwartz plans to order more wheels once he has fewer than 40 wheels left.

Number of cars made from 4 wheels =1

Let number of cars made before ordering for more wheels = x

⇒x= 4 y, where y is number of wheels used.

⇒Number of cars < 40

⇒ Total number of wheels =85

⇒ 4 y +40 <85

⇒4 y < 85 -40

⇒ 4 y< 45

\Rightarrow 4 y< 45\\\\\Rightarrow y

Also, x<40

So, after building  12 cars ,Mr.Schwartz will need to order more wheels for building cars.

Mr.Schwartz begins the week with = 85 wheels

Number of wheels used per car = 4

He orders more wheels when less than 40 wheels are left.

Given inequality is = x<40

The minimum number of wheels he can use before ordering more wheels= 85-40=45

So, 45 minimum 45 wheels can be used before ordering more wheels.

4 wheels are used to make = 1 car

45 wheels are used to make = \frac{45}{4}=11.25 cars

If 12 cars are to be build then wheels required will be = 12\times4=48

Beginning number of wheels = 85

Wheels used for making 12 cars = 48

Wheels left = 85-48=37

But as mentioned, Mr. Schwartz orders wheels if they are less than 40, so after building 12 cars, 37 wheels will be left and he will order more.

Two percent of the customers of a store buy cigars. Half of the customers who buy cigars buy beer. 25 percent who buy beer buy c
enyata [817]

Answer:

0.95

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the probability that a customer neither buys beer nor buys cigars is given below;

Given that, the probabilities are

The customers who purchased cigars be 0.02

The customers who purchased cigars + beer 0.50

And, the customers who purchased beer + cigars be 0.25

Now the probabilities where the customer purchased both

= 0.05 × 0.02

= 0.10

The probability where the customer purchased beer is

= 0.01 ÷ 0.25

= 0.04

Now the probability where a customer neither buys beer nor buys cigars is

= 1 - 0.02 + 0.04 - 0.01

= 0.95

zmey [24]

<u>Answer-</u>

The standard error of the confidence interval is 0.63%

<u>Solution-</u>

Given,

n = 2373 (sample size)

x = 255 (number of people who bought)

The mean of the sample M will be,

M=\frac{x}{n} =\frac{255}{2373} =0.1075

Then the standard error SE will be,

SE=\sqrt{\frac{M\times (1-M)}{n}}

SE=\sqrt{\frac{0.1075\times (1-0.1075)}{2373}}=\sqrt{\frac{0.0959}{2373}}=0.0063=0.63\%

Therefore, the standard error of the confidence interval is 0.63%

noname [10]
The figure shown below illustrates the problem.

The volume of the empty cone is
V₁ = (1/3) π r²h

The volume of the sphere is
V₂ = (4/3) π r³

Because the melted ice cream completely fills the cone, therefore
V₁ = V₂
(1/3) π r² h = (4/3) π r³
Divide each side by (1/3) π r².
h = 4r

Answer:
The height of the cone is 4 times greater than the radius f the cone.

6 tractors take 10days to collect the harvest. How long would it take 18 tractors to do the same amount of work?
Nutka1998 [239]
This is a question of proportionality. However, it is not direct proportionality as it is expected that as the number of tractors increases, the work is finished faster as opposed to fewer number of tractors. This is referred to as inverse proportionality.

Therefore;
6 tractors ----- 10 days
18 tractors --- x days

Then,
x = (6*10)/18 = 10/3 days = 3 days, and 8 hours.

This means that 18 tractors will take 3 days and 8 hours to collect the same harvest.
