I believe the answer would be 49.64 because if you add them together 22.65+33.31 = 55.96 x .10 = 5.60 55.96-5.60 = $49.64

so Mary went over with 100 bucks, she spent 22.65 and then 33.31, so she has pay for 22.65 + 33.31 = 55.96, but low and behold, she has a coupon off her total purchase, so she only will have to pay for 55.96 - 10 = 45.96.

she goes over to the counter, hands the $100, 100 - 45.96 = 54.04 <- change.

Elijah and Jonathan play on the same soccer team. They have played 3 of their 15,
Lynna [10]

Answer:

Only Elijah's model is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

The data given in the question tells us they have 12 games left on their soccer team. Each one of them tried to simulate the fact by creating some model which look like a balance between quantities.

Elijah placed 3 cubes of value 1 and a cube of value x on one side of a balance. On the other side, he placed 15 cubes of value 1. He was obviously modeling the fact that 15 cubes (games due to play in our case) should be equal to 3 cubes (games already played) plus the x numbers left to play

This model if perfect, since the only way to equilibrate the balance is setting x to 12, the games left to play

Jonathan used a table with 3 x's in a row and a 15 in the second row, trying to model the same situation. To our interpretation, this table doesn't show the number of games left to play. If we equate 3x = 15, we get x=5 which has nothing to do with the situation explained in the question, so this model is not correct.

An electric guitar costs $830, with a $225 full-replacement warranty. If the manufacturer sells 532,475 warranties and has to ho
melomori [17]

If 532,475 warranties were given, it means that 532,475 warranties were sold. The gross profit should be, 532,475 * $830 = $441954250. But then, this would still be subtracted with 12% of the warranties since they gave it back to the customers. Hence,

Profit = $441954250 – 0.12(532,475)($225)

Profit = $427,577,425

Solve the equation, keeping the value for x as an improper fraction. 23x = − 12x + 5 1.Isolate the variable by adding 12x to bot
kogti [31]

Answer:

x=\frac{30}{7}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given an equation \frac{2}{3}x=-\frac{1}{2}x+5. We are asked to solve our given equation.

First of all, we will add \frac{1}{2}x on both sides of equation to separate x variable on one side of equation.

\frac{2}{3}x+\frac{1}{2}x=-\frac{1}{2}x+\frac{1}{2}x+5

\frac{2}{3}x+\frac{1}{2}x=5

Now, we will make a common denominator.

\frac{2*2}{3*2}x+\frac{1*3}{2*3}x=5

\frac{4}{6}x+\frac{3}{6}x=5

Add numerators:

\frac{4+3}{6}x=5

\frac{7}{6}x=5

Upon multiply both sides of our equation by \frac{6}{7}, we will get:

\frac{6}{7}*\frac{7}{6}x=5*\frac{6}{7}

x=\frac{5*6}{7}

x=\frac{30}{7}

Therefore, the solution for our given equation is x=\frac{30}{7}.
