Option A, current (thumb) to magnetic field (fingers)

As per the First right-hand rule,

Using right hand, if we suppose that thumb points towards the electric current

fingers curl towards the magnetic field

What force must be exerted on the master cylinder of a hydraulic lift to support the weight of a 2000-kg car (a large car) resti
Nataliya [291]

Archimedes principle states that

F1 / A1 = F2 / A2

F2 = (A2 / A1) * F1

Also, formula for the force is F = mg. Formula for the area of the cylinder is A = πr^2, therefore we get

F2 = (πr2^2 / πr1^2) * mg

Since the diameter of the cylinders are 2 cm and 24 cm, r1 = 12 and r2 = 1.

Substituting the values to the derived equation, we get

F2 = (π 1^2 / π 12^2) * 2400 * 9.8

F2 = 163.3333 N

A solid uniform disk of diameter 3.20 m and mass 42 kg rolls without slipping to the ) bottom of a hill, starting from rest. If
Semenov [28]

Answer:

(A) = 3.57 m

Explanation:

from the question we are given the following:

diameter (d) = 3.2 m

mass (m) == 42 kg

angular speed (ω) = 4.27 rad/s

from the conservation of energy

mgh = 0.5 mv^{2} + 0.5Iω^{2} ...equation 1

where

Inertia (I) = 0.5mr^{2}

ω = \frac{v}{r}

equation 1 now becomes

mgh = 0.5 mv^{2} + 0.5(0.5mr^{2})(\frac{v}{r})^{2}

gh = 0.5 v^{2} + 0.5(0.5)(v)^{2}

4gh = 2v^{2} + v^{2}

h = 3v^{2} ÷ 4 g .... equation 2

  from ω = \frac{v}{r}

 v  = ωr  = 4.27 x (3.2 ÷ 2)

v = 6.8 m/s

now substituting the value of v into equation 2

h = 3v^{2} ÷ 4 g

h = 3 x (6.8)^{2} ÷ (4 x 9.8)

h = 3.57 m

If a rock is thrown upward on the planet mars with a velocity of 14 m/s, its height (in meters) after t seconds is given by h =
crimeas [40]

<u>Answer:</u>

 Velocity of rock after 2 seconds = 6.56 m/s

<u>Explanation:</u>

 We have equation of motion , s= ut+\frac{1}{2} at^2, s is the displacement, u is the initial velocity, a is the acceleration and t is the time.

Here height of rock in meters, h = 14t-1.86t^2

Comparing both the equations

    We will get initial velocity = 14 m/s(already given) and \frac{1}{2} a = -1.86

     So,  Acceleration, a = -3.72 m/s^2

 Now we have equation of motion, v = u + at, where v is the final velocity, u is the initial velocity, a is the acceleration and t is the time taken.

 When time is 2 seconds we need to find final velocity.

     v = 14 - 3.72 * 2 = 6.56 m/s.

  So, Velocity of rock after 2 seconds = 6.56 m/s
