the total cost is divided in the ration 2:3

we can take it as Adam pays 2 parts and Adams dad pays 3 parts

the amount that Adams dad pays is 52.50

Adams dad pays 3 parts thats equivalent to - 52.50

then one part is - 52.50 / 3 = 17.50

the total cost is divided in the 2:3 ratio therefore total cost is equivalent to 2+3 = 5 parts

one part is equivalent to 17.50

therefore 5 parts are equivalent to - 17.50 x 5 = 87.50

the total cost of the meal is 87.50

2:3 ratio

His dad pays 52.5, divide 3 to that:

52.5 / 3 = 17.5

Multiply this to 2:

17.5 * 2 = 35

This is what Adam pays, now add this to what his Dad pays to find the total:

35 + 52.5 = 87.5

So the total cost of the meal is $87.50

Kendra charges $11 to shovel a driveway. She shoveled 4 driveways on Saturday and then some more on Sunday. She made $143 for th
White raven [17]

Let number of driveways , she shoveled on Sunday = x

And for 4 driveways , Kendra charges = 4*11=44

Therefore,

143 = 44 + 11x

And that's the model for the given situation .

Subtracting 44 from both sides,

143-44 = 11x

99 = 11x

Dividing both sides by 11

x = 9

Therefore she shoveled 9 driveways on Sunday .

Arisa [49]

Answer:

20 cups of punch

Step-by-step explanation:

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

we know that

If Elise adds 5 percent of each of the other ingredients

then

the new percentages are

Ginger Ale=40%+5%=45%

Orange Juice=25%+5%=30%

Pineapple Juice=20%+5%=25%

Sorbet=0%

Find out how many cups of punch will she have if she uses 6 cups of orange juice, using proportion

Let

x ----> the total cups of punch

\frac{6}{30\%}=\frac{x}{100\%}\\\\x=6(100)/30\\\\x=20\ cups\ of\ punch
