Ok lets grab our calculators!

Lets say Arik has 20 calculators at the store.

Lets multiply 20 x 40%

We should get 8

There is 8 scientific calculators

100 percent minus 40 percent is 60 percent

Lets multiply 20 x 60%

There is 12 graphing calculators

8 scientific calculators

12 graphing calculators

If you want to do this on paper or in your head

100 ÷ 20 = 5

each calculator is 5 percent

Alana is writing a coordinate proof to show that the diagonals of a rectangle are congruent. She starts by assigning coordinates
tamaranim1 [39]
D(S,P) = √(0-0)^2 + √(b-0)^2
d(S,P) = √b^2
d(S,P) = b
so
SP = b

d(P, Q) = √(a-0)^2 + √(b-b)^2
d(P, Q) = √a^2
d(P, Q) = a
so
PQ = a

SQ = c^2 = a^2 + b^2
SQ = √(a^2 + b^2)

answer
the length of one of the diagonals of the rectangle is √(a^2 + b^2)

The triangle below has been reduced by a scale of 0.4. A large triangle has a base of 30 centimeters and height of 10 centimeter
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

24 centimeters squared(cm²)

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle below has been reduced by a scale of 0.4.

A large triangle has a base of 30 centimeters and height of 10 centimeters.

Hence, reducing the large triangle by the given scale ratio, we have :

Height = 10cm × 0.4 = 4cm

Base = 30cm × 0.4 = 12 cm

Hence, the area of the smaller triangle

= Area = 1/2 × Base × Height

Height = 4 cm

Base = 12 cm

Area = 1/2 × 4 × 12

= 24 cm²

Carolyn usually only misses about 10% of her free throws. If she misses fewer than 2 of her next 4 free throws, then she will ho
Brums [2.3K]

The correct option will be : 94%

Explanation

8100  1347   0693  9869   3399   1376   1273   7905    3471    7987  7604   4587   2968  5064   2697   4248   4545   3308

Here, '0' represent a missed free throw and '1 through 9' represent a made free throw.

So, the number of results in which there are fewer than two '0' is 17. That means she will miss fewer than 2 throws in 17 trials and there are total 18 trials.

Thus, the probability that she will miss fewer than 2 throws = \frac{17}{18}=0.9444.....

For finding the probability in percentage, we need to multiply by 100% . So, (0.9444..... × 100%) = 94.44.... % = 94% (Approximately)
