Answer:

21 booths.

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. 4 x 21 = 84.
  2. 6 x 16 = 96.
  3. 84 + 96 = 180.

These are all of the steps, to completely get the correct answer to this question.

Hope this helps!!!

Answer:

21 Booths

Step-by-step explanation:

Let there are T tables and B boots in the restaurant.

For equation 1.

Each table can accommodate 6 people and each booth seat 4 people and total persons accommodated = 180

Therefore, equation will be 6T + 4B = 180 -------(1)

For equation 2.

Total seats and booths in the restaurant are 37.

T + B = 37---------(2)

Now we will multiply equation 2 by 6 and then subtract the new equation from equation (1)

(6T + 4B) - 6(T + B) = 180 - 6×37

6T + 4B - 6T - 6B = 180 - 222

-2B = - 42

2B = 42

B=\frac{42}{2}

B = 21

Therefore, there are 21 booths in the restaurant.

Assume that the Poisson distribution applies and that the mean number of hurricanes in a certain area is 6.7 per year. a. Find t
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

a) 10.34% probability that, in a year, there will be 4 hurricanes.

b) 3.62 years are expected to have 4 hurricanes

c) Either 3 or 4 hurricanes(discrete number) are close to the mean of 3.62, which means that the Poisson distribution works well in this case.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a Poisson distribution, the probability that X represents the number of successes of a random variable is given by the following formula:

P(X = x) = \frac{e^{-\mu}*\mu^{x}}{(x)!}

In which

x is the number of sucesses

e = 2.71828 is the Euler number

\mu is the mean in the given interval.

6.7 per year.

This means that \mu = 6.7

a. Find the probability that, in a year, there will be 4 hurricanes.

This is P(X = 4).

P(X = x) = \frac{e^{-\mu}*\mu^{x}}{(x)!}

P(X = 4) = \frac{e^{-6.7}*(6.7)^{4}}{(4)!} = 0.1034

10.34% probability that, in a year, there will be 4 hurricanes.

b. In a 35-year period, how many years are expected to have 4 hurricanes?

Each year, 0.1034 probability of 10 hurricanes.

In 35 years

35*0.1034 = 3.62

3.62 years are expected to have 4 hurricanes

c. How does the result from part (b) compare to a recent period of 35 years in which 3 years had 4 hurricanes? Does the Poisson distribution work well here?

Either 3 or 4 hurricanes(discrete number) are close to the mean of 3.62, which means that the Poisson distribution works well in this case.

Which is the graph of linear inequality 6x + 2y > –10? On a coordinate plane, a dashed straight line with negative slope goes
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

On a coordinate plane, a dashed straight line with negative slope goes through (negative -5/3, 0) and (0, negative 5). Everything to the right of the line is shaded

Step-by-step explanation:

6x + 2y > –10

Solve for y

Subtract 6x from each side

2y > -6x -10

Divide by 2

y > -3x - 5

The y intercept is -5 and the slope is -3

The x intercept is -5/3

The line is dashed  and shaded to the right

masha68 [24]

Well the sides of these 2 quadrilaterals are proportional to each other , so you would have to find the scale factor of the 2 then see which sides have already proportional pairs , then multiply *or / to find the last one .

So, we would need to remember, the one way that me personally would view square rooting would be by simplifying them, and that number would go into that number that many times. So, when doing this kind of problem, we are not truly going to do this, but we are just going to simplify it, and to see what other square "rooter" would go into that.

So, we would need to remember a (key) point, <em>we aren't just multiplying, for the most part, we're simplifying. </em>

Our result:

\boxed{\boxed{\bf{2a^2b \sqrt[4]{24a^2b^3} }}}

We didn't just multiplied it, we also simplified it also.
