Answer:

The answer to the question: What psychosocial stage of development best describes Ginny, would be: the sixth psychosocial stage of development: Intimacy vs Isolation.

Explanation:

The Theory of Psychosocial Development, established by Erik Erikson, and the principles behind his theory of identity crisis establish that human beings develop their personalities and behave in accordance to stimuli not from only childhood, but from the interaction that a person has with his/her environment throughout his/her lifetime. On the sixth stage of this development lies Intimacy vs. Isolation and it loosely takes place between the ages of 19 and 40, when people are more prone towards relationship-formation and establishment, or the choice of isolation, or reraining from social interaction and intimate relationship-formation. Whether a person chooses to be on one end (Intimacy) or the other (Isolation), will depend on his/her experiences inside this age-range regarding social relations and especially romantic relations. If there is failure, like is the case of Ginny, be it because the person is unable to establish a relationship with anyone, or because they cannot find the right person to do so, they tend to choose isolation, which is what Ginny is now choosing; to be on her own, and not look for romantic engagements with anyone, at least for some time.
