A human resources representative claims that the proportion of employees earning more than $50,000 is less than 40%. To test thi

s claim, a random sample of 700 employees is taken and 305 employees are determined to earn more than $50,000. The following is the setup for this hypothesis test: {H0:p=0.40Ha:p<0.40 Find the test statistic for this hypothesis test for a proportion. Round your answer to 2 decimal places. Answer:  z(p) = 1.9286 and we reject H₀

Step-by-step explanation:

1) According to problem ststement : We need to  solve  an Hypotesis test proportion so:

H₀    P₀ = 0,4              and    Hₐ  < 0,4   ( Alternative hipotesis)

From 700 employes 305 are determined to earn more than $ 50000

Proportion                    pₐ = 305/700 = 0,4357     pₐ  = 0,4357

proportions are p = 0.4  and q = 0,6

We will asume a confidence level of 95 % hence α=  1-0,95     α = 0,05

so from z table we find z(c) = 1,64

Therefore we must calculate our z(p) = ( pₐ-p₀) ÷√(p*q)/n

Calculating   z(p)  =  0,0357 /0,01851   ⇒  z(p) 1.9286

Our test is one of the form  Hₐ <  ; that means is a right tail test, and the value z(p) is bigger than our critical value (z(c) = 1.64) so we rejecte H₀

Consider the following equations and name the property of equality used to solve for the variable.
Anestetic [448]

Answer:

Subtraction property ; x = 3.25

Division property ; - 6

multiplication property ; - 125

Addition property ; 13

Step-by-step explanation:

A.)

x + 3.75 = 7

Using the subtraction property : subtract 3.75 from both sides

x + 3.75 - 3.75 = 7 - 3.75

x = 3.25

B. )

–3b = 18

According to the division property :

Divide both sides by - 3

-3b / - 3 = 18 / - 3

b = - 6

C.)

m/5 = - 25

Using the multiplication property :

m/5 * 5 = - 25 * 5

m = - 125

D.)

m – 4 = 9

Using the addition property :

Add 4 to both sides :

m - 4 + 4 = 9 + 4

m = 13

ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Well first, we need to find the weight of the table. We know that 8 boxes weighs a total of 240kg (since each box weights 30kg). Thus, we can conclude that the table weighs 70kg by doing 310-240=70.

Now, we can write our function. Let x equal the amount of boxes.

The table is a set weight, so that would be our constant.

Thus, we will have:

f(x)=30x+70

30x represents the weight each box of book adds to the total. One box equals 30kg, 2 boxes equal 60kg, etc.

The 70 represents the unchanging weight of the table.

In terms of W(x), it will be:

W(x)=30x+70
