<u>Answer:</u>

The angle of depression of the slide is 5.2^o

<u>Explanation: </u>

Given the length of vertical drop, i.e., the perpendicular is 36.3 yards

Length of water slide is 400 yards

A slide is always slanted, therefore, it will be considered as the hypotenuse

Therefore, hypotenuse = 400 yards

Let the angle of depression be  \theta

\sin \theta=\frac{\text { perpendicular }}{\text { hypotenuse }}

substituting the values,

 \sin \theta=\frac{36.3}{400}=0.09075

\theta=\sin ^{-1}(0.09075)

\theta= 5.2^{\circ}

Hence, the angle of depression is 5.2^o

Why would someone choose to use a graphing calculator to solve a system of linear equations instead of graphing by hand? Explain
anygoal [31]
In addition, from the response shown, using a graphical calculator brings the following benefits:
 1) You can write the system of linear equations as big as you want. This is: systems 3 * 3, 4 * 4, 5 * 5.
 2) The response to systems of equations greater than 2 * 2 can be complicated when you graph the solution, therefore, the graphing calculator can be much more efficient in these cases.
 3) You can write the linear equations in any way. Resolving by hand you should probably rewrite the system of equations to find the solution.

Traffic data revealed that 35 percent of automobiles traveling along a portion of an interstate highway were exceeding the legal
bija089 [108]
This is a typo and vaguely phrased. However, the closest to a direct solution is to think of it as follows: 35% of the cars are speeding. Out of these, 52% of the cars are also speeding. Hence, the result of cars that are both speeding and speed cars is 0.52*0.35=0.182

Of 360 consumers polled some purchased ice cream some purchase frozen yogurt and some purchased both if 260 people polled purcha
Xelga [282]

Total customers are = 360

Number of polled people who purchased ice cream = 260

Number of polled people who purchased both ice cream and yogurt = 250

Hence, people who purchased only ice cream are=260-250=10

And 360-10=350 are people who purchased yogurt.

So, people who purchased yogurt only = 360-(250+10)=100

Identify the explicit function for the sequence in the table.
juin [17]
14 - 9 = 5
19 - 14 = 5
24 - 19 = 5
29 - 24 = 5

It is an arithmetic sequence with differences, b = 5 and a = 9
a(n) = a + b(n - 1)
a(n) = 9 + 5(n - 1)

The answer is B
