too much sun is dangerous for humans and can cause cancer so it's important that light is reflected for example a pool reflects water back to space that is why water sometimes is cold because it reflects light

A man stands on his balcony, 130 feet above the ground. He looks at the ground, with his sight line forming an angle of 70° with
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

d =  380 feet

Explanation:

Height of man = perpendicular= 130 feet

Angle of depression = ∅ = 70 °

distance to bus stop from man = hypotenuse = d = 130 sec∅

As sec ∅ = 1 / cos∅

so d = 130 sec∅    or d = 130 / cos∅

d = 130 / cos(70°)

d =  380 feet

An air-track cart with mass m1=0.28kg and initial speed v0=0.75m/s collides with and sticks to a second cart that is at rest ini
arsen [322]
Kinetic energy is calculated through the equation,

   KE = 0.5mv²

At initial conditions,

  m₁:  KE = 0.5(0.28 kg)(0.75 m/s)² = 0.07875 J

  m₂ : KE = 0.5(0.45 kg)(0 m/s)² = 0 J

Due to the momentum balance,

   m₁v₁ + m₂v₂ = (m₁ + m₂)(V)

Substituting the known values,

   (0.29 kg)(0.75 m/s) + (0.43 kg)(0 m/s) = (0.28 kg + 0.43 kg)(V)

   V = 0.2977 m/s

The kinetic energy is,
   KE = (0.5)(0.28 kg + 0.43 kg)(0.2977 m/s)²
   KE = 0.03146 J

The difference between the kinetic energies is 0.0473 J.

A 13-cm-diameter cd has a mass of 25 g . part a what is the cd's moment of inertia for rotation about a perpendicular axis throu
faltersainse [42]
<span>Answer: For a disc, the moment of inertia about the perpendicular axis through the center is given by 0.5MR^2. where M is the mass of the disc and R is the radius of the disc. For the axis through the edge, use parallel axis theorem. I = I(axis through center of mass) + M(distance between the axes)^2 = 0.5MR^2 + MR^2 (since the axis through center of mass is the axis through the center) = 1.5 MR^2</span>

Two thermometers are calibrated, one in degrees Celsius and the other in degrees Fahrenheit.
sdas [7]

Answer:

The temperature is 233.15 K

Explanation:

Recall the formula to convert degree Celsius (C) into Fahrenheit (F):

\frac{9}{5} C+32=F

So if we want the value of degree C to be the same as the value of the degree F, we want the following: C = F

which replacing F with C on the right hand side of the equation above, allows us to solve for C:

\frac{9}{5} C+32=F\\\frac{9}{5} C+32=C\\\frac{9}{5} C-\frac{5}{5} C =-32\\\frac{4}{5} C==32\\C= \frac{-32\,*\,5}{4} \\C=-40

This means that -40°C = -40°F

And this temperature in Kelvin is:

-40°C + 273.15 = 233.15 K
