Okay assuming the log had no initial vertical motion (you threw it straight out), the distance to the bottom is

dist = 1/2 gt^2 = 1/2 x 9.8m/s/s x
(5.65s)^2 = 156.4m

the velocity at the bottom = g t = 9.m/s/s x 5.65s =55.4m/s

Hope this helps!

Answer:

55.4265 m/s

513.71 ft

Explanation:

t = Time taken to hit the ground = 5.65 seconds

a = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

u = Initial velocity = 0 m/s

v = Final velocity

From equation of motion

v=u+at\\\Rightarrow v=0+9.81\times 5.65\\\Rightarrow v=55.4265\ m/s

∴ Velocity of the log at impact is 55.4265 m/s

Distance

s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2\\\Rightarrow s=0\times 5.65+\frac{1}{2}\times 9.81\times 5.65^2\\\Rightarrow s=156.5798625\ m

Converting to feet

1 m = 3.28084 ft

156.5798625 m = 156.5798625×3.28084 ft

= 513.71 ft

∴ The distance the log fell is 513.71 ft

asambeis [7]
The acceleration is given as:

a = g sin(30°) where g is the gravitational acceleration

For g = 10 m/s^2, we get

a = 10 sin(30°) = 10 * 1/2 = 5 m/s^2

In a movie, Tarzan evades his captors by hiding under water for many minutes while breathing through a long, thin reed. Assume t
gladu [14]

Answer: 0.98m

Explanation:

P = -74 mm Hg = 9605 Pa = 9709N/m^2

= 9605 kg m/s^2/m^2

density of water: rho = 1 g/cc = 1 (10^-3 kg)/(10^-2 m)^-3 = 1000 kg/m^3

Pressure equation: P = rho g h

h = P/(rho g)

h = (9605 kg/m/s^2) / (1000 kg/m^3) / (9.8 m/s^2)

h = 0.98 m

0.98m is the maximum depth he could have been.

The magnitude J(r) of the current density in a certain cylindrical wire is given as a function of radial distance from the cente
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

I=68.31\times 10^{-6}\ A

Explanation:

Given that

J(r) = Br

We know that area of small element

dA = 2 π dr

I = J A

dI = J dA

Now by putting the values

dI = B r . 2 π dr

dI= 2π Br² dr

Now by integrating above equation

\int_{0}^{I}dI= \int_{r_1}^{r_2}2\pi Br^2 dr

I={2\pi B}\times \dfrac{r_2^3-r_1^3}{3}

Given that

B= 2.35 x 10⁵ A/m³

r₁ = 2 mm

r₂ = 2+ 0.0115 mm

r₂ = 2.0115 mm

I={2\pi B}\times \dfrac{r_2^3-r_1^3}{3}

By putting the values

I={2\pi \times 2.35 \times 10^5 }\times \dfrac{(2.0115\times 10^{-3})^3-(2\times 10^{-3})^3}{3}\ A

I=68.31\times 10^{-6}\ A
