Maslowich

Answer:

The total change that will likely occur in 2 years is =-3\frac{2}{3} mg/L

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The first year, they found the chloride concentration changed by -1\frac{3}{5} mg/L .

It is estimated that the chloride concentration will change -2\frac{1}{15} mg/L the next year.

To find : What is the total change that will likely occur in 2 years?

Solution :

The chloride concentration changed by -1\frac{3}{5}=-\farc{8}{5} mg/L in first year.

The chloride concentration will change -2\frac{1}{15}=-\frac{31}{15} mg/L the next year.

The total change that will likely occur in 2 years is

=-\frac{8}{5}+(-\frac{31}{15})

=\frac{-24-31}{15}

=\frac{-55}{15}

=\frac{-11}{3}

In a mixed fraction - =-3\frac{2}{3} mg/L

I say it is C. Basically I just eliminate the potential answered down. A could not be the one since not all student in 2nd period got 100% and average students got below 95%. B cannot be it since both box plot have the same median. I do not think D is it because of how the answer is told. "The 4th period class should get the reward. Their lowest score is an outlier, and should be thrown out," it sound childish and makeing a joke to put "and should be thrown out." I may be wrong but that is my opinion. The relatively the best and reasonable answer is C.

Three orders are placed at a pizza shop. two small pizzas, a liter of soda, and a salad cost $14; one small pizza, a liter of so
mojhsa [17]
To determine the cost of each item, we need to set up equations. From the problem statement, we have three unknowns so we need three equations. We set up equations as follows:

let x cost of small pizzas
     y cost of soda
     z cost of salad

two small pizzas, a liter of soda, and a salad cost $14
2x + y + z = 14

one small pizza, a liter of soda, and three salads cost $15

x + y + 3z = 15

three small pizzas, a liter of soda, and two salads cost $22
3x + y + 2z = 22

Solving for x, y and z, we will have:

x = $ 5
y = $ 1
z = $ 3

Kamila [148]
To factor completely 18b - 32, we factor out the common factor of the two terms and divide each of term by the common factor.

18b - 32 = 2(18b/2 - 32/2) = 2(9b - 16)
