Chemistry

Answer: The molarity of a solution that is 26.0% by mass in phosphoric acid is 3.06 M

Explanation:

Molarity of a solution is defined as the number of moles of solute dissolved per liter of the solution.

Molarity=\frac{n\times 1000}{V_s}

n = moles of solute

V_s =volume of solution in ml

Given : 26.0 g of phosphoric acid in 100 g of solution.

To calculate the moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}=\frac{26.0g}{98g/mol}=0.265moles

Volume of solution =\frac{\text {Mass of solution}}{\text {Density of solution}}=\frac{100g}{1.155g/ml}=86.6ml

Molarity=\frac{0.265\times 1000}{86.6ml}=3.06M

Molarity of a solution that is 26.0% by mass in phosphoric acid is 3.06 M

What is the name of a compound with the structure: ch3ch2ch2ch2ch2co2ch2ch2ch3?
zubka84 [21]
4-nonanone
Explanation: there is a functional group in the compound CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2COCH2CH2CH3 which is a ketone; So for naming a ketone we must first mention the name of the prefix that is correspond then add the suffix ''one''. And why I putted a ''4'' before the name is because we must indicate where this functional group is located, for doing that we have to start counting where the functional group is the closet to the end of the compound so when looking we should start to count on the right side. this is how I get 4-nonanone

Hydroxyapatite, Ca 10 ( PO 4 ) 6 ( OH ) 2 Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 , has a solubility constant of Ksp = 2.34 × 10 − 59 2.34×10−59 , and d
Margarita [4]

Answer:

1.315x10⁻³M = [Ca²⁺]

Explanation:

Based in the reaction:

Ca₁₀(PO₄)₆(OH)₂(s) ⇄ 10Ca²⁺(aq) + 6PO₄³⁻(aq) + 2OH⁻(aq)

Solubility product, ksp, is defined as:

ksp = [Ca²⁺]¹⁰ [PO₄³⁻]⁶ [OH⁻]²

From 1 mole of hydroxyapatite are produced  10 moles of Ca²⁺ and 6 moles of PO₄³⁻. That means moles of PO₄³⁻ are:

6/10 Ca²⁺ = PO₄³⁻

Replacing in ksp formula:

ksp = [Ca²⁺]¹⁰ [0.6Ca²⁺]⁶ [OH⁻]²

As [OH⁻] is 2.50x10⁻⁶M and ksp is 2.34x10⁻⁵⁹:

2.34x10⁻⁵⁹ =  [Ca²⁺]¹⁰ [0.6Ca²⁺]⁶ [2.50x10⁻⁶]²

3.744x10⁻⁴⁸ = 0.046656[Ca²⁺]¹⁶

<em />

<em>1.315x10⁻³M = [Ca²⁺]</em>

<em />

I hope it helps!

How many ions are there in 0.187 mol of Na+ ions
kondaur [170]
Best Answer
1 mole of a substance contains 6.022x10^23 "units" of that substance.

So 0.187 mol of Na+ is 1.13x10^23 ions (6.022x10^23 x 0.187).

The combustion of propane gas is used to fuel barbeque grills. If 4.65 moles of propane, C3H8, are burned in a grilling session,
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

<h3>moles of carbon dioxide=13.95mol</h3>

Explanation:

First wrie down the balance chemical reaction:

C_3H_8(g) + 5 O_2(g) \rightarrow 3 CO_2(g) + 4 H_2O(l)

Combustion reaction: The reacion in which hydrocarbon is burnt in the presence of oxygen gas and it releases heat and this reaction exothermic because heat of cumbustion is negative.

eg. burning of methane

By using unitry method,

From the above balanced reaction it is clearly that,

from 1 mole of propane 3 moles of carbon dioxide is formed

there fore,

from 4.65 mole of propane 3 \times 4.65 moles of carbon dioxide will form

moles of carbon dioxide=13.95mol
