In the laws of mathematics, especially in rounding off digits, you should take note of the digit following that number no matter how long or short a number is. If the number is preceded by numbers between 0-4, the number does not change. However if its is preceded by numbers between 5-9, add one to the number. In this problem, you are required to round off each number to the nearest ten million before adding them. So 0.9998 is equal to 1

The answer would be one because .9998 would round the 9 to a 10 which would round the second 9 and then the third nine to make 1

Ravi is driving 440 miles to visit his grandma.
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

You would use the formula: Rate = distance / time which equals 55

Since we are asked for the time it takes to reach 3/4 the destination.We just use 3/4 of the value of the distance.

55 = (3/4)(440) / t

t = 6 hours

So the answer would be "C"

For ΔABC, ∠A = 4x - 10, ∠B = 5x + 10, and ∠C = 7x + 20. If ΔABC undergoes a dilation by a scale factor of 1 3 to create ΔA'B'C'
VLD [36.1K]
We know that the angles of a triangle sum to 180°. For ΔABC, this means we have:
(4x-10)+(5x+10)+(7x+20)=180

Combining like terms,
16x+20=180

Subtracting 20 from both sides:
16x=160

Dividing both sides by 16:
x=10
This means ∠A=4*10-10=40-10=30°; ∠B=5*10+10=50+10=60°; and ∠C=7*10+20=70+20=90.

For ΔA'B'C', we have
(2x+10)+(8x-20)+(10x-10)=180

Combining like terms,
20x-20=180

Adding 20 to both sides:
20x=200

Dividing both sides by 20:
x=10

This gives us ∠A'=2*10+10=20+10=30°; ∠B'=8*10-20=80-20=60°; and ∠C'=10*10-10=100-10=90°.

Since the angle are all congruent, ΔABC~ΔA'B'C' by AAA.

4vir4ik [10]
We have to choose the correct answer for the center of the circumscribed circle of a triangle. The center of the circumscribed circle of a triangle is where the perpendicular bisectors of a triangle intersects. In this case P1P2 and Q1Q2 are perpendicular bisectors of sides AB and BC, respectively and they intersect at point P. S is the point where the angle bisectors intersect ( it is the center of the inscribed circle ). Answer: P.
