A uniform magnetic field makes an angle of 30o with the z axis. If the magnetic flux through a 1.0 m2 portion of the xy plane is

5.0 Wb then the magnetic flux through a 2.0 m2 portion of the same plane is:(a) 4.3 Wb
(b) 10 Wb
(c) 2.5 Wb

Answer:

(b) 10 Wb

Explanation:

Given;

angle of inclination of magnetic field, θ = 30°

initial area of the plane, A₁ = 1 m²

initial magnetic flux through the plane, Φ₁ =  5.0 Wb

Magnetic flux is given as;

Φ = BACosθ

where;

B is the strength of magnetic field

A is the area of the plane

θ is the angle of inclination

Φ₁ = BA₁Cosθ

5 = B(1 x cos30)

B = 5/(cos30)

B = 5.7735 T

Now calculate the magnetic flux through a 2.0 m² portion of the same plane

Φ₂ = BA₂Cosθ

Φ₂ = 5.7735 x 2 x cos30

Φ₂ = 10 Wb

Therefore, the magnetic flux through a 2.0 m² portion of the same plane is is 10 Wb.

Option "b"

Answer:

U = 1794.005 × 10⁶ J

Explanation:

Data provided;

Capacitance of the original capacitor, C = 1.27 F

Potential difference applied to the original capacitor, V = 59.9 kV

= 59.9 × 10³ V

Now,

The Potential energy (U) for the capacitor is calculated as:

Potential energy of the original capacitor, U = \frac{\textup{1}}{\textup{2}}  × C × V²

on substituting the respective values, we get

U = \frac{\textup{1}}{\textup{2}}  × 1.27 × ( 59.9 × 10³ )²

or

U = 1794.005 × 10⁶ J

jarptica [38.1K]

Answer: 592.37m

Explanation:

Person D is the blue line.

The total displacement is equal to the difference between the final position and the initial position, if the initial position is (0,0) we have that he first goes down two blocks, then right 6 blocks. then up 4 blocks, then left 1 block.

Now i will considerate that the positive x-axis is to the right and the positive y-axis is upwards.

Then the new position will be, if B is a block:

P =(6*B - 1*B, -2*B + 4*B) = (5*B, 2*B)

And we know that B = 110m

P = (550m, 220m)

Now, then the displacement will be equal to the magnitude of our vector, (because the difference between P and the initial position is equal to P, as the initial position is (0,0))  this is:

P = √(550^2 + 220^2) = 592.37m

A climatograph for a tropical grassland or savanna would look different from the climatograph shown for a temperate grassland. D
Savatey [412]

Answer:

Savannas have a fairly constant temperature all year; temperate grasslands have a greater seasonal temperature variation.

Explanation:

For example, the African Savanna has an almost constant temperature all year (see the first figure below).

The difference between summer and winter temperatures is only about 5 °C, and the rate of temperature change is quite slow.

The temperature of a temperate grassland (see the second figure below) has a much greater seasonal variation.

The summers are hot, and the winters are cold. The difference between summer and winter temperatures is about 30 °C, with a rapid rate of temperature change from one season to the next.
