Answer:

The structure that allows redwood to grow tall and maintain homeostasis is the roots.

Explanation:

Homeostasis is the tendency of an organism to regulate its internal stability so as to compensate for external or environmental changes. A change in the environmental factor can easily cause s a constraint to an organism, but its homeostatic capability regulates the condition to that that is suitable to its internal stability.

Redwoods are one of the most tall trees that have shallow roots which spread over a wide area and intertwined oftentimes. With the shallow roots, redwood has a good homeostasis capability. They are very wide trees and can be found in thick groves.

Though they grow so tall and large in width, the roots are important structures that maintains homeostatics in the trees.

If a large marshmallow has a volume of 2.50 i n 3 and density of 0.242 g/c m 3 , how much would it weigh in grams? 1 i n 3 =16.3
Illusion [34]

Density of a substance is defined as the mass of the substance divided by the volume.

Density of the substance= 0.242 g cm⁻³

volume of the substance= 2.50 in³

As, 1 in³= 16.39 cm³

So, 2.50 in³= 16.39× 2.50 cm³=40.97 cm³

As ,

Density=\frac{mass}{volume}

Mass=volume ×Density

Mass=40.97 × 0.242

Mass=9.916 g.

What type of star has an absolute brightness of 1 and a surface temperature around 7,500 °C?
marta [7]
A dim white dwarf star, this is a star with a similar mass to earth. This star has no further fusion reactions at it's core. After this type of star has used up all of it's energy it will become a black dwarf star. Usually they are composed of oxygen and carbon. Sirius a and b are both white dwarf stars that orbit each other.

lys-0071 [83]

To be able to compare the result with other experiments it has to be reported in moles.

What is the density (in g/L) of a gas with a molar mass of 146.06 g/mol at 1.03 atm and 297k
marshall27 [118]
Lets assume the gas is acting Ideally, then According to Ideal Gas Equation the density is given as,

                                            d  =  P M / R T         -------  (1)
Where;
P  = Pressure =  1.03 atm

M  = Molar Mass =  146.06 g/mol

R  = Gas Constant =  0.08206 atm.L.mol⁻¹.K⁻¹

T  = Temperature =   297 K

Putting Values in eq. 1,

           d  =  (1.03 atm × 146.06 g/mol) ÷ (0.08206 atm.L.mol⁻¹.K⁻¹ × 297 K)

                                          density  =  6.17 g/L

A student heats a sample of Copper (II) sulfate in a crucible and records the data shown in the table. What is the complete form
liberstina [14]

Explanation:

Copper (II) sulfate is usually present as a hydrous state, which is of the form CuSO4 * nH2O, where n is a whole number.

Mass of sample (CuSO4 * nH2O)

= 152.00g - 128.10g = 23.90g.

Mass of water loss during heating

= 152.00g - 147.60g = 4.40g.

Molar mass of H2O = 18g/mol

Moles of H2O in sample

= 4.40g / (18g/mol) = 0.244mol.

Mass of anhydrous sample (CuSO4)

= 23.90g - 4.40g = 19.50g

Molar mass of CuSO4 = 159.61g/mol

Moles of CuSO4 in sample

= 19.50g / (159.61g/mol) = 0.122mol.

Since mole ratio of CuSO4 to H2O

= 0.122mol : 0.244mol = 1:2, n = 2.

Hence we have CuSO4 * 2H2O.
