James currently has $215 in a savings account. Every month, he deposits an additional $45 into his account. James had to replace

the wooden fence around his house for a total of $4,100, and his zero-interest payment plan requires $168 per month. If James uses all of his budgeted savings to help pay off the fence, in addition to the monthly payment, what will be the remaining balance on the fence after 12 months?

Answer:

James still owes 1,261 dollars after 12 months

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Second attempt :P</u>

James currently has 215 dollars, every month for 12 months, he deposits 45 dollars into his account

215 + 12 x 45

215 + 540 =755

Now we know how much money James will have after 12 months,  we need to find out how much he will owe.

James has to pay 168 per month for 12 months

168 x 12 = 2016

After 12 months the total amount James owes will be 2,016 dollars.

He makes 755 for the whole 12 months

2,016 - 755 = 1,261

James still owes 1,261 dollars after 12 months

What is the distance between the following points?
timama [110]

Answer:

D. d = \sqrt{58}

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the distance formula: d = \sqrt{(x2 - x1)^{2}+ (y2 - y1)^{2}  }

The two points are (6, -2) and (3, -9)

Plug the values into the formula:

d = \sqrt{(3 - 6)^{2}+ (-9 + 2)^{2}  }

Simplify

d = \sqrt{(-3)^{2}+ (-7)^{2}  }

d = \sqrt{9+ 49  }

d = \sqrt{58}

I hope this helps :))

The art museum is 8 1/2 miles from Alison's house. Alison has ridden her bike 2/3 of the way there so far. How far how she gone?
ozzi
Alison is 2/3 of the way to the museum, so the answer is about 2/3 of 9, or 6 miles.  Let's calculate it:

  2                              17 miles
---- * (8 1/2 miles) = --------------     She has ridden (17/3) miles, which is 5 2/3
 3                                    3             miles.

PLEASE HELP!! ASAP!!! 20 POINTS. David proved the Law of Cosines with reference to triangle abc using a different method.Arrange
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

Top-to-bottom, the boxes have this order in the proof: 1, 7, 4, 3, 9, 8, 5, 2, 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

The basic idea is to use the Pythagorean theorem to write two expressions for the length of altitude BD, also called "k", then equate them and simplify the result. This leaves an expression for DC, also called "x", which is replaced by a cosine expression to complete the proof.

Finally, the variations involving other combinations of sides and angles are suggested as being provable in the same way.

Quadrilateral $abcd$ is a trapezoid with $ab$ parallel to $cd$. we know $ab = 20$ and $cd = 12$. what is the ratio of the area o
alekssr [168]
Draw a diagram to illustrate the problem as shown below.

The area of triangle acb is
A₁ = (1/2)*20*h = 10h

The area of trapezoid abcd is
A₂ = (1/2)*(20+12)*h = 16h

The ratio A₁/A₂ is
A₁/A₂ = (10h)/(16) = 5/8

Answer:
The ratio of triangle acb to the area of trapezoid abcd is 5/8.
