Answer:

 • Marti is the winner

Step-by-step explanation:

Continuation of question:

 • The race was over after 10 seconds. The winner of the race is defined by the person who is farthest from the start line. Whose car should be crowned the winner? Use mathematics to justify your answer.
 • Table is attached

Solution

Greg

 • Speed = 13 ft/s
 • Start point = 30.7 ft from start line after 2 seconds

Distance from start line after 10 seconds:

 • 30.7 + 13*(10 - 2) = 30.7 + 13*8 = 30.7 + 104 = 134.7 ft

Marti

 • Speed = 16.5 ft/s
 • Start point = 2 ft from start line

Distance from start line after 10 seconds:

 • 2 + 10*16.5 = 2 + 165 = 167 ft

Comparing distances from the start line, 134.7 ft vs 167 ft, Marti is farthest from the start line and he is the winner.

Answer: Marti

Step-by-step explanation: Marti is farthest because it says that Greg's car travels 13 feet but after two seconds he was at 30.7 away from the start line and Marti was 2 feet in front but Marti goes faster because her car goes way faster every second: (16.5 > 13) so: Greg is 30.7 + 13 x 10 = 160.7 | Marti: 2 + 16.5 x 10 = 167, So Marti wins the race and should be crowned the winner.

Snezhnost [94]
There is no work. i just did it in my head. x = 15 because 15^2 equals 225 and 15+2 = 17 so if 15*15 equals 225 then if you add 30 more that is 255. 30 is equal 2*15 and so you could also say 15*15+(15*2) so 15*17 = 255 so x = 15. you're welcome.

JulijaS [17]

Answer:

Independent

dependent

Step-by-step explanation:

The scenario illustrates that the weight for people who exercises regularly tends is normal or below normal. It means that the weight of a person depends on how much a person exercises i.e. if person exercises more the weight is reduced and if not then weight will be gained. Thus, exercise is the independent variable while weight is dependent variable.
