Commutative Property.

It cannot be multiplication property because it would have to be live 5 x 1 = 5. For multiplication property the answer has to be the same as the number you used to get the answer. Does that make sense? I can send you a pic if you need it. I might be wrong because I just learned it now so I could give you an answer but from the example I got it has to be like 25x1=25, 100x1=100 something like that

Answer: The property is to multiplying the same constant to both the numerator and denominator i.e. 20.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we given that

\frac{2}{5}\times 1=\frac{40}{100}

We need to find the property:

There is a property of making equivalent fraction by multiplying the same constant to both the numerator and denominator.

\frac{2}{5}\times \frac{20}{20}=\frac{40}{100}

So, the property is to multiplying the same constant to both the numerator and denominator i.e. 20.

Given: m EH =85°, m∠EYV=35°. Find: m EV .
avanturin [10]

Answer:

  155°

Step-by-step explanation:

∠EYV is half the difference of arcs EV and EH

  (1/2)(EV -EH) = ∠EYV

  (1/2)(EV -85°) = 35° . . . . fill in the given values

  EV -85° = 70° . . . . . . . . .multiply by 2

  EV = 155° . . . . . . . . . . . . add 85°

A basketball with a diameter of 9.5 in. is placed in a cubic box with sides 15 in. long. How many cubic inches of packing foam a
Doss [256]

Answer:

The volume of foam needed to fill the box is approximately 2926.1 cubic inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

To calculate the amount of foaming that is needed to fill the rest of the box we first need to calculate the volume of the box and the volume of the ball. Since the box is cubic it's volume is given by the formula below, while the formula for the basketball, a sphere, is also shown.

Vcube = a³

Vsphere = (4*pi*r³)/3

Where a is the side of the box and r is the radius of the box. The radius is half of the diameter. Applying the data from the problem to the expressions, we have:

Vcube = 15³ = 3375 cubic inches

Vsphere = (4*pi*(9.5/2)³)/3 = 448.921

The volume of foam there is needed to complete the box is the subtraction between the two volumes above:

Vfoam = Vcube - Vsphere = 3375 - 448.921 = 2926.079 cubic inches

The volume of foam needed to fill the box is approximately 2926.1 cubic inches.
