Volume(v)=329 cm³×10^(-3) litre=0.329 litre
pressure(p)=1 atm
temperature (t)=20°C=(20+273)K=293K
no of moles of gas=n (=m/M)
given mass=m=2 gm
universal gas constant (R)= 0.0821
molar mass(M)=?

Using the case of ideal gas,
pv=nRt
or,1×0.329=(m/M)× 0.0821 ×293
or,0.329=(2/M)× 0.0821 ×293
or,M=(2× 0.0821 ×293)/0.329
M=48.1106/0.329
M=146.23 g
i.e, molar mass of SX6=146 (approx. value)
molar mass of X6=146-molar mass of S
=146-32=114 (approx.)
➡molar mass of X=114/6=19......which is the molar mass of fluorine (F).
So,the given compound is SF6

What is the total amount of heat required to completely melt 347 grams of ice at its melting point
jolli1 [7]
In order to calculate the amount of heat energy required to melt 347 grams of ice, we need to will apply the equation:
Q = ml, where m is the mass of substance and l is its latent heat of fusion. For ice, the latent heat of fusion is 334 joules per gram. Therefore:
Q = 347 x 334
Q = 112,558 joules of energy

Convert 2.1 mole of Al2(SO4)3 ionic units to a number of particles.
Semenov [28]

1.26 x 10²⁴particles

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Number of moles of the compound = 2.1 moles

Unknown:

Number of particles contained in the compound = ?

Solution:

A mole can be defined as the amount of a substance that contains Avogadro's number of particles 6.02 x 10²³.

The particles mentioned here can be atoms, molecules, formula units, ions, electrons, protons, neutrons and so forth.

To solve for the number of moles:

   Number of particles  = number of moles x 6.02 x 10²³

Number of particles = 2.1 x  6.02 x 10²³ = 12.64 x  10²³ = 1.26 x 10²⁴particles
