The air pressure ( or atmospheric pressure ) is the force of air over a unit of area. Changes in the air pressure causes the weather changes. High pressure usually brings good weather with dry and cool air. But in a low pressure zone warm air is rising up. This vertical movements are caused by winds high in the troposphere. Water molecules stay as a gas in warmer air. After the vertical movement they condense and bring steady continuous rain. Therefore the low pressure brings cloudly and rainy weather. Answer: The air pressure is most likely low<span>. </span>

A lever has a 36cm input arm and a 6cm output arm. find MA.
Nady [450]

6

Explanation:

The mechanical advantage is a factor that measures how input force increases using a machine.

A lever is a simple machine with the fulcrum at the center.

To calculate the mechanical advantage M.A of levers we use the expression below;

M. A = \frac{F_{b} }{F_{a} } = \frac{a}{b}

F_{a} = input force

F_{b} = output force

a is the distance of the input force from the fulcrum

b is the distance of the output force from the fulcrum

Given

a = 36cm

b = 6cm

M.A = \frac{36cm}{6cm} = 6

Why is a solution of 4% acetic acid in 95% ethanol used to wash the crude aldol-dehydration product?
raketka [301]

A cold acetic acid solution is used to wash the residue of the reagent in preparation of an aldol condensation product after vacuum filtration.  The main reason in washing with the acetic acid rinse is to neutralize any sodium hydroxide.

You throw a ball of mass 1 kg straight up. You observe that it takes 2.2 s to go up and down, returning to your hand. Assuming w
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

10.791 m/s

5.93505 m

Explanation:

m = Mass of ball

v_f = Final velocity

v_i = Initial velocity

t_f = Final time

t_i = Initial time

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

From the momentum principle we have

\Delta P=F\Delta t

Force

F=mg

So,

m(v_f-v_i)=mg(t_f-t_i)\\\Rightarrow v_i=v_f-g(t_f-t_i)\\\Rightarrow v_i=0-(-9.81)(1.1-0)\\\Rightarrow v_i=10.791\ m/s

The speed that the ball had just after it left the hand is 10.791 m/s

As the energy of the system is conserved

K_i=U\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{1}{2}mv_i^2=mgh\\\Rightarrow h=\dfrac{v_i^2}{2g}\\\Rightarrow h=\dfrac{10.791^2}{2\times 9.81}\\\Rightarrow h=5.93505\ m

The maximum height above your hand reached by the ball is 5.93505 m
