If the claim is that \sin(x+y)=\sin x+\sin y for all x,y, then all you need to refute it is a single example for which the equality doesn't hold. Take x=y=\dfrac\pi2. Then \sin\left(\dfrac\pi2+\dfrac\pi2\right)=\sin\pi=0, but \sin\dfrac\pi2+\sin\dfrac\pi2=1+1=2.

If the claim is that there is some choice of x,y for which equality holds, then we can recall the angle sum identity for sine:

\sin(x+y)=\sin x\cos y+\cos x\sin y

which means that, in order to have equality, we need to choose x,y such that both \cos y=1 and \cos x=1. We can do that; \cos x=1 only when x is an even multiple of \pi, i.e. x\in\{0,\pm2\pi,\pm4\pi,\ldots\}. Take any two of these and add them together, and you'd end up with yet another even multiple of \pi, and so both sides will reduce to 0. Thus equality holds only when x=2n\pi and y=2m\pi for some integers m,n.

A combination washer/dryer costs $1,179. New parts for this washer/dryer cost $211, labor to repair it costs $553, and shipping
Keith_Richards [23]
The better deal is the Full Warranty, by approximately 174 dollars. To solve the cost of the full warranty, simply multiply 30 percent times the cost of the washer/dryer.30 x 1,179 = 353.70. You do not need to add anything to this because the warranty covers the extra costs. To solve for the cost of the limited warranty, multiply 14 percent times the cost of the washer/dryer, plus the cost of the new parts and the repair center costs (the warranty only covers the labor repair costs): (.14 x 1,179) + 211 + 152 --> 165.06 + 211 + 152 = 528.06. The full warranty is clearly cheaper. To figure out by how much, simply subtract the full warranty from the limited warranty: 528.06 - 353.70 = 174.36. To round to the nearest number, take off the decimal: 174. So that means your answer is D hope this helps.

What is Discount Comics is running a special: 20 comics for $5.00. Seth purchases 30 comics for $7.50. What is the sale price pe
Shalnov [3]
Since we are finding the unit rate of the cost per comic, we will need to divide $5 by 20 comics which you will get 0.25 cents and divide $7.50 by 30 comics which you will also get 0.25 cents.Therefore, the unit rate and constant of proportionality is 0.25 cents.

Please, i need help :(

Answer:

First of all, find x from the Pythagorean theorem a^2+b^2=c^2, which c is the hypotenuse.

7^2+24^2=c^2

49+576=c^2

c^2=625

c=25 or x=25

Next, we have to figure out the value of y and z. So, you need to use inverse trigonometric functions.

arctan(\frac{7}{24})=y=16.3 degrees. arctan(\frac{24}{7})=z=73.7 degrees.

All in all, the values are

x=25

y=16.3

z=73.7

Hope this helps and have a nice day!
