Steve and Chelsea will have the same amount of money on the 12 week. I can’t graph it but I am a little sure that is the answer

Steve and Chelsea had the same amount at week 4, $150.00. The equation for Steve is y=250-(25x) and the equation for Chelsea is: y= 30x+30

The graphs are shown above:

To understand how I got the equations:

Steve starts at 250 and keeps wasting $25.00 per week. If he keeps on doing this he’ll lose the original amount, which was $250.00. 25 is our constant rate, so we multiply that by how many weeks he’s been spending and subtract that answer from $250.00.

Chelsea starts of her savings with $30.00 and every week it increases by that much. We have to use 30, our constant rate and multiply that by the amount of weeks she’s been saving and add that to what she started, which is also $30.00

If you have any other questions I’d be glad to answer!

The quantities in the proportion you give add to 16 pounds, of which 2 pounds are cement. That is, cement constitutes 1/8 of the total weight.

For each yard of concrete, 4000 lb/8 = 500 lb of cement are used.

For 12.5 yards of concrete, 12.5 * 500 = 6,250 pounds of cement will be used.

_____
"yard" in this case is shorthand for "cubic yard".

Simplify the radical expression
LenKa [72]
To multiply two radicals together, we can simply multiply both the values inside the radicals together and put that in a radical.
So for 5*sqrt(45b) * 6*sqrt(48b), we get 30*sqrt(45b*48b) = 30*sqrt(2160b^2). This value can be simplified further by taking out b^2 and 12^2 from the radical giving us the answer 360b*sqrt(15).

A square has a perimeter of 12x + 52 units. Which expression represents the side length of the square in units?
Xelga [282]

Answer:

Option (3) is correct.

side length of square is (3x + 13 ) units.

Step-by-step explanation:

For a square with side 'a'. Perimeter is defined as the sum of length of side. Since, Square has four sides. Thus Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Given square has perimeter = 12x + 52

Comparing both sides,

4 × side = 12 x + 52

⇒ Side = \frac{12x+52}{4}

⇒ Side = \frac{4(3x+13)}{4}

⇒ Side = 3x + 13

Thus, side length of square is (3x + 13 ) units.

Thus, option (3) is correct.
