Answer: There are 3850 copies of the newsletter that must the club sell to break even each month.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of copies of the newsletter be 'x'.

Cost of printing and mailing each = $0.35

Total cost for research, writing and other costs = $770

Total cost price would be

0.35x+770

Cost of the newspaper each copy = $0.55

Total selling price would be

0.55x

So, the break even point would be

Total cost price = Total selling price

0.35x+770=0.55x\\\\770=0.55x-0.35x\\\\770=0.20x\\\\\dfrac{770}{0.20}=x\\\\3850=x

Hence, there are 3850 copies of the newsletter that must the club sell to break even each month.

" break even " is when ur expenses = revenue.....there is no profit made when u break even

expenses : 0.35x + 770
revenue (ur income) : 0.55x

so they have to equal to break even...so set them equal to each other and solve for x
0.35x + 770 = 0.55x
770 = 0.55x - 0.35x
770 = 0.2x
770 / 0.2 = x
3850 = x <== they must sell 3850 copies to break even

Solve 7x- c= k for x.
A. X = 7(k+C)
B. x = 7(K-C)
C. X = k+c/7
D. X= k-c/7
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

you add c to both side which will then make it 7x=k+c then you would divide 7 from both sides leaving you with x=k+c/7. Except 7 will be under the k and c.

Two angles of a triangle measure 59° and 63°. If the longest side measures 28 centimeters, find the length of the shortest side.
Dmitrij [34]
Angles in a triangle ALWAYS equal 180 degrees, so 180-59-63= final angle (58 degrees) Then just use (Tan,Cos,Sin) with the angles to find the lengths, i can’t answer it as i don’t know what the triangle looks like

Doug purchased land for $8,000 in 1995. The year value of the land depreciated by 4% each year thereafter. Use an exponential fu
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

Option C. $6,012

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The formula to calculate the depreciated value is equal to

V=P(1-r)^{t}

where

V is the the depreciated value

P is the original value

r is the rate of depreciation in decimal

t is Number of Time Periods

in this problem we have

t = 7 years

P = $8,000

r = 0.04

substitute in the formula above

V = 8,000(1-0.04)^{7} = 6,012

Hope this helps :)

A freight carrier charges $0.57 for a package weighing up to one ounce plus and additional $0.32 for each additional ounce or fr
kherson [118]

We have to write an equation that uses this info so we can find the cost to ship that package. However, the package weight is given to us in grams and we need it in ounces. So first thing we are going to do is convert that 224 g to ounces. Use the fact that 1 g = .035274 ounces to convert. 224g*\frac{.035274oz}{1g}. Do the multiplication and cancel out the label of grams and we have 7.901376 ounces. Ok. We know that it costs .57 to mail the package for the first ounce. We have almost 8 ounces. So no matter what, we are paying .57. For each additional ounce we are paying .32. The number of .32's we have to spend depends upon how much the package goes over the first ounce. For the first ounce we pay .57, then for the remaining 6.901376 ounces we pay .32 per ounce. Our equation looks like this: C(x) = .32(6.901376) + .57 and we need to solve for the cost, C(x). Doing the multiplication we find that it would cost $2.78 to ship that package.

Round to the nearest ten thousand 905154
kolbaska11 [484]
You want to round 905,154 to the nearest ten-thousands place. The ten-thousands place in your number is shown by the bold underlined digit here:

905,154

    To round 905,154 to the nearest ten-thousands place...

    The digit in the ten-thousands place in your number is the 0. To begin the rounding, look at the digit one place to the right of the 0, or the 5, which is in the thousands place.

    Since the 5 is greater than or equal to 5, we'll round our number up by

        Adding 1 to the 0 in the ten-thousands place, making it a 1.

    and by changing all digits to the right of this new 1 into zeros.

The result is: 910,000.

So, 905,154 rounded to the ten-thousands place is 910,000.
