22,000 miles more each year. Marc's car has a current mileage of 22,000 and he drives 22,000 miles more each year. Will the mileages for the two cars ever be equal? Explain.

If we make equations:
y-total mileage, x-years of driving
Elena: y=9000+22000*x
Marc: y=22000+22000*x
<span>The general form of the linear function is: y=kx+n, where k represents the slope of the line relative to the x axis, and n tells us where the line will intersect the y axis.
This two functions have same k coefficient, so they have same slopes but different y-intercepts, so the lines do not intersect which means the mileage of two cars will never be equal.

<span>The mileage of the two cars will never be equal. This is because Elena has less mileage on her car to begin with, and both Elena and Marc drive the same amount of miles every year. Marc's car will always have a higher mileage.</span>

Car value at the time of purchase $15, 250 (2012)
Rate of depreciation 7.5%
1) y = 15250 ( 1- 0.075)^x
y = 15250 (0.925)^x (x tis the number of years that passed since purchase)

2)  y = 15250 * ( 0.925)^8 = 8173.42

11/12−6/1q+6/5q−3/1, Combine like terms to create an equivalent expression.
Nikolay [14]

Answer: -\frac{25}{12} -\frac{24q}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{11}{12} -\frac{6}{1} q+\frac{6}{5}q-\frac{3}{1}

\frac{11}{12} -6q+ \frac{6q}{5} -\frac{3}{1}

\frac{11}{12}-6q \frac{6q}{5} -3

(\frac{11}{12} -3)+(-6q+\frac{6q}{5} )

-\frac{25}{12}- \frac{24q}{5}

Simplify three times, collect like terms and simplify again, how to collect like terms see their differences and then put them into groups, for example I put all the numbers without variables on one side and all the numbers with variables on another.

Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great rest of Black History Month! :-)

Which statement justifies that 3x2 − 2x − 4 multiplied by 2x2 + x − 3 obeys the closure property of multiplication? The result 6
zalisa [80]

We have been given two polynomials 3x^2-2x -4 \text{ and } 2x^2+x-3

Let us first multiply these polynomials.

(3x^2 - 2x - 4)(2x^2 + x - 3)\\&#10;\\&#10;=3x^2(2x^2 + x - 3) -2x(2x^2 + x - 3)-4(2x^2 + x - 3)\\&#10;\\&#10;=6 x^4 - x^3 - 19 x^2 + 2 x + 12

Now, we know that polynomials follows closure property of multiplication.

It means that when we multiply two polynomials, the result will be a polynomial.

Since, when we multiplied the given polynomials, we got 6 x^4 - x^3 - 19 x^2 + 2 x + 12 which is a polynomial.

Therefore, the correct option is

The result 6 x^4 - x^3 - 19 x^2 + 2 x + 12   is a polynomial.
