I = prt

p = 7430
r = 5%....turn to decimal = 0.05
t = 3

I = (7430)(0.05)(3)
I = 1114.50 <===

Answer: Second option is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Principal = $7,430

Rate of interest = 5%

Time = 3 years

We need to find the interest paid using "simple Interest" method.

As we know the formula:

I=\dfrac{p\times r\times t}{100}\\\\I=\dfrac{7430\times 5\times 3}{100}\\\\I=\$1114.5

Hence, Second option is correct.

Claudia brought a 16-cup jug filled with water to the soccer game. She shared the water with her teammates. How can Claudia find
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

Claudia could estimate the amount of water that her teammates drank by using this process:

1. Measure the amount that Claudia herself drank.

2. Subtract that from the amount of water that the jug was filled with before the soccer game.

3. Find the difference of that and the current amount of water.

Sienna planned a rectangular pool, as shown in the scale drawing below.
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

The scale factor is

27.5 feet / 22 feet = 1.25.

Explanation:

Whenever you are calculating factors, you are comparing two measurements. In this problem we compared a longer length to a shorter length pool. The length was changed to (27.5 feet) and youre comparing to the length it was originally (22 feet).

Ok so you know the two measurements being compared, but how come it’s 27.5/22 and not 22/27.5? Because the value got bigger.

In this problem you had a pool with long side of 22 ft. But then you made it longer to 27.5 ft. So it scales up,

It went from 100% its length to 125% its length. So the length is 125% / 100% = 1.25 times longer than it used to be.

Here’s another example:

How do you calculate your grade percentage on a test? You take the amount of points you earned and divide by the total possible points. Your grade percentage is a comparison of your score (Compare value) compared to a perfect score (reference value) .

So lets say your test had 22 total points. You get all the answers correct so you get 22/22 points which is 22/22*100 = 100%. Let’s say you get an extra bonus question correct so you end up with even more points and you get 27.5 points out of 22. By getting the bonus points you scaled up your score! Now your score is 27.5/22 * 100 = 125%. So you went from 100% to a 125%. Or from a scale factor of 1 to 1.25.

Whenever the value is getting bigger than it was, you’re going to have a compared percentage over 100%. If the value gets smaller, then you would get a compared percentage less than 100%. Similarly a factor scale is going to be over 1 if the compared value is getting bigger, and less than 1 if it’s getting smaller.

So you don’t need to use percentages, factors are the same they just look a little different.

27.5/22 = 125% / 100% = 1.25

In summary just do this division:

(compare value)/(reference value). The result is how big the top value is compared to the bottom value.

wolverine [178]
The function for conversions from Fahrenheit to Celsius is:

Celsius = (Fahrenheit - 32) x 5/9

C(76.1) = (76.1 - 32) x 5/9
             = (44.1) x 5/9
             =  24.5

Therefore, 76.1 degrees Fahrenheit = 24.5 degrees Celsius.

Factor 18p-3618p−3618, p, minus, 36 to identify the equivalent expressions. Choose 2 answers: Choose 2 answers:
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

18(p-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to factor 18p-36

We know that the greatest common factor is 18.

So we can rewrite to obtain:

18*p-18*2

We factor the GCF to obtain:

18(p-2)

Therefore 18p-36=18(p-2)

Therefore the equivalent expression to 18p-36 is 18(p-2)

Estimate 58% of 121 by using 10%
kvv77 [185]
58% is about equal to 60%, 10% of 121 is 12.1.
12.1 * 6 = 72.6
To take this further, 58% is 2% less than 60%, or 2 times 1%. 1% of 121 is 1.21.
72.6  - (1.21 * 2) = 72.6 - 2.42 = 70.18
