<span>Answer: 4 Explanation: Initially 6 people are standing. 10 people get off the bus. The six people who are standing will take their seats and remaining 4 seats will be occupied by four out of the eight people who alight the bus. So now 4 people will be standing on the aisles.</span>

Answer: 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : On frank's bus ride to work, all available seats are filled and 6 passengers are standing in the aisles.

Using integers , we can write the expression for extra passengers in the bus = +6

If 10 passengers get off the bus  , then the expression for passenger get off = -10

Also, 8 passengers get in , then the expression for passenger get in the bus = +8

Now, we assume that all available seats continue to be filled, then the number of passengers are standing in the aisles will be :-

6-10+8=4

Hence, the 4 passengers are standing in the aisles.

You have just received an inheritance of $28,000 and would like to invest it into an account. The bank offers two investment pla
grigory [225]
First we need to calculate annual withdrawal of each investment
The formula of the present value of an annuity ordinary is
Pv=pmt [(1-(1+r)^(-n))÷(r)]
Pv present value 28000
PMT annual withdrawal. ?
R interest rate
N time in years
Solve the formula for PMT
PMT=pv÷[(1-(1+r)^(-n))÷(r)]

Now solve for the first investment
PMT=28,000÷((1−(1+0.058)^(−4))
÷(0.058))=8,043.59
The return of this investment is
8,043.59×4years=32,174.36

Solve for the second investment
PMT=28,000÷((1−(1+0.07083)^(
−3))÷(0.07083))=10,685.63
The return of this investment is
10,685.63×3years=32,056.89

So from the return of the first investment and the second investment as you can see the first offer is the yield the highest return with the amount of 32,174.36

A spherical container has a radius of 9 centimeters. It is filled with a solution that costs $2.10 per cubic centimeters.
vitfil [10]
Hello! For this question, first, we have to find the area of the spherical container. The formula for finding the area of a sphere is 4/3πr³. We raise the radius to the 3rd power and multiply it by pi (3.14). The radius is 9 cm. 9³ is 729. There's that number. Now, we multiply 81 by 3.14 to get the total area of the square. 729 * 3.14 is 2,289.06. Now, multiply that by 4/3. 2,289.06/1 * 4/3 is 3,052.08. The volume of the sphere is 3,052.08 cubic centimeters. Which brings us to the next part. Now, we can find the price of the solution by multiplying the area by the price. 3,052.08 * 2.10 is 6,409.368 or 6,409.37 when rounded to the nearest cent. The total value of the solution in the container is $6,409.37.

Which shows how to solve the equation Three-fourths x = negative 6 for x in one step?
My name is Ann [436]

option A i.e. Three-fourths (four-thirds) x = negative 6 (four-thirds).

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We have , The given expression as Three-fourths x = negative 6  , which can be written as \frac{3}{4} (x) = -6 . Now in order to solve this equation in one step , we must notice that coefficient of x must be 1 but it's  \frac{3}{4} , Let's make coefficient of x  as 1 by multiplying both side of equations by 4/3:

\frac{3}{4} (x) = -6

⇒ \frac{3}{4} (x) = -6

⇒ \frac{3}{4}(\frac{4}{3} ) (x) = -6(\frac{4}{3} )

⇒ x = -6(\frac{4}{3} )

⇒ x = -2(4)

⇒ x = -8

Therefore, x= -8 & correct option to solve the equation Three-fourths x = negative 6 for x in one step is <u>option A i.e. Three-fourths (four-thirds) x = negative 6 (four-thirds).</u>
