Because He believes that if citizens disobey the law, that liberty would break down.
According to Montesquieu, law is the one that prevents a civilization from doing what most animals in the wild do.
without the law, the strong would have the total freedom to abuse the weak. So, even though law is definitely restrictive in nature, we could argue that it would provide all citizens with equal amount of freedom if it obeyed by all.

1. Eighty-six days and done. Life was dead. Paul D beat her butt all day every day until there was not a whimper in her. How doe
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

 1. Paul D's emotions in jail are cold and insensitive.
 2. The metaphor explains that your emotions are like something inert and that they do not provide any feeling.

Explanation:

"Eighty-six days and done. Life was dead. Paul D beat her butt all day every day until there was not a whimper in her." It is a quote that shows how all the abuses, violent situations and injustice that Paul D suffered faced in prison, left him cold and insensitive to the point that he did not care about the death of life, nor try to save it, on the contrary he wants to be even more violent towards her, hitting life to the point of her, literally losing consciousness and stop moaning.

The metaphor "tobacco tin lodged in his chest", shows how Paul D.'s emotions are non-existent, without interfering in his life. It is as if his emotions were something inert, without movement and expression, like a can of tobacco.

Major _____ of geography include physical geography and human geography
SpyIntel [72]
These would be two of the main branches (or disciplines) of geography. The physical branch deals with the actual landforms and seeks to see the study as an actual Earth science. Human geography, in comparison, is a way of looking at the world that tries to understand how cultures and peoples are shaped. This takes into account religion, economics, health, culture, time, politics, and other aspects.

Imagine that you have just moved into a house with four other people. One of your housemates, Tony, doesn't seem to like you all
Softa [21]

Answer:

C. ask Tony if he could give you a ride to the grocery store

Explanation:

The Ben Franklin effect (named after Benjamin Franklin and his quote "He that has once done you a kindness will be more ready to do you another, than he whom you yourself have obliged") is the psychological theory that proposes the person is more likely to adopt admiration towards us if they perform a favor for us than if we perform a favor for them.

The explanation is that people usually help others because they like them, therefore if we do something for another person our brain (due to cognitive dissonance) will switch to thinking that we liked them in the first place.

This is why if we ask Tony to drive us and he agrees he might develop a liking towards us, thinking he did us a favor because of the admiration and his own attraction towards us.
