ecause white lichen covered the bark. Because of sudden industrial development, the city’s trees became covered with soot. How will this change affect the population of the white moth?

Answer:

The population of white moths will get decrease.

Explanation:

The techniques of camouflage used by moths save them from getting hunted by their predators. However, as the color of the bark of the trees gets changed due to the discharge of industrial population, the moths can be easily determined by their predators, and thus, their population count gets reduced due to intense hunting.

Ouuu I know this one, we learned a few days ago in biology. There appeared another variation of the moth, the carbonaria. It was darker in color and it is an example of temporery polymorphism. When the pollution was reduced thenumber of white moths rised again.
Sorry for my english, it is not my native language but i’m 100% sure about this

An entrepreneur estimates his total profit (total revenue minus total cost) for his proposed company as p(x) = x3 − 4x2 + 5x − 2
defon

break even means that the total income is equal to the total cost.

Therefore, we can equal the total gain to zero.

We have then:

p (x) = x ^ 3 - 4x^2 + 5x - 20

Equaling zero we have:

x ^ 3 - 4x^2 + 5x - 20 = 0

Rewriting the polynomial we have:

(x-4) (x ^ 2 + 5) = 0

We observe that the polynomial only has a real solution.

Therefore we have:

x-4 = 0x = 4

Answer:

the year (x) the entrepreneur will break even is:

D. year 4

Anna [14]

The basic components (depedent and indepedent variables) are the plants and altitude while the confounding variable is the 20 story building. Confounding variables affect the experiement variable and are mainly outside of the researcher’s control in the experiment.  Ray cannot change the building but this variable can affect the depedent and indepedent variables and cause distorted or spurious results.
