3/4 + 4 1/2 = 5 1/4

If you mean that the dictionary is 41/2 then the answer = 3/4 + 20 1/2 = 21 1/4. That's a big diction though and not likely measured correctly.

The 99 percent confidence interval for the average weight of a product is from 71.36 lbs. to 78.64 lbs. Can we conclude that μ i
Ilya [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

To decide over a hypothesis test using a confidence interval the following conditions are to be met:

1. The hypotheses should be two-tailed.

2. The hypotheses and the confidence interval should be made for the same parameter.

3. The confidence level and the significance level should be complementary, so if the CI is 1-α: 0.99 the level of significance should be α: 0.01

If all conditions are met, the decision rule is the following:

If the value stated in the null hypothesis is contained by the CI, the decision is to not reject the null hypothesis.

If the value stated in the null hypothesis is not contained by the CI, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis.

Let's say in this example the hypotheses are:

H₀: μ = 71

H₁: μ ≠ 71

α: 0.01

99% Confidence level is (71.36;78.64).

As you can see, 71 is not contained in the CI so the decision to take is to reject the null hypothesis, in other words, the population mean is not 71.

I hope it helps!

An amusement park's owners are considering extending the weeks of the year that it is opened. The owners would like to survey 10
uranmaximum [27]
The best way to randomly choose the 100 families would be to allow a random number generator to come up with 100 families within a 50 radius of the amusement park.

Using this method would ensure that it is more randomised & not limited to people who come at a specific time or are in a specific area as well as it not be affected by subconscious bias of people when selecting people to survey.

What is the horizontal asymptote of f (x) =StartFraction negative 2 x Over x + 1 EndFraction? y = –2 y = –1 y = 0 y = 1
miv72 [106K]

Answer:

  y = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

Any asymptotes of a rational function will be described by the quotient of the numerator and denominator (excluding any remainder).

  f(x)=\dfrac{-2x}{x+1}=-2+\dfrac{2}{x+1}

The horizontal asymptote is ...

  y = -2
