Have you ever noticed how we humans turn our head in response to a loud noise? what part of the midbrain is involved in bringing
sweet [91]
This hearing reflex is due to the response of the inferior colliculus located at the back of the midbrain to stimuli such as noise. Basically, the inferior colliculus is the main auditorium of the human body. External sounds travel as sensory-auditory signals to the inferior colliculus through electrochemical currents so that they can process this information to the central brain. It consist of two front lobes corresponding to both ears. It regulates frequency recognition, pitch discrimination and signal integration. This is also what facilitates your selective hearing where you cannot hear your self-induced sounds like breathing and chewing.

Which of the following statements is correct concerning what hypnosis can NOT do?
professor190 [17]

Answer:

The correct answer for this question is option C.

Explanation:

Since hypnosis is a human condition which involved the attention to reduce the peripheral awareness, to enhanced the capacity to respond to suggestion is correct, concerning what hypnosis cannot do, to say that through hypnosis someone cannot alter his/her sensory perceptions. Besides, some “hypnotizers” state that the only way hypnosis works to improve, or alter sensory perceptions is because the “client” have the willing to do it. Furthermore, psychiatrists know and understand the general features of hypnosis, and they have built some models of how it works. For example, they see hypnosis like a trance where there are extreme suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination. Thus, there is not any evidence that hypnosis cannot alter sensory perception. It does.

Sonbull [250]

Answer:

B. what you know about yourself but hide from others.

Explanation:

Johari window is a model that helps in building and understanding the relationship with others as well as with ourselves. It is defined as an analysis of self by discovering and knowing about ourselves. In this model, the information related to us is revealed to others to gain their trust and the feedback given by others is analyzed to learn about ourselves. In the hidden area, the information that the person wants to hide is kept. This helps the people to keep their information hidden which they do not want to disclose to others.
