The midpoint formula is this:( x_{midpt} , y_{midpt})=( \frac{ x_{1} + x_{2} }{2} , \frac{ y_{1}+ y_{2} }{2} ).  We have the coordinates of the midpoint and the coordinates of one of the endpoints, so our formula becomes:(.5, -6.25)=( \frac{-5.5+ x_{2} }{2}, \frac{2.75+ y_{2} }{2}).  Now group the x stuff together and solve for x2 and group the y stuff together and solve for y2, like this:.5= \frac{-5.5+ x_{2} }{2}. Multiply both sides by 2 to get 1=-5.5+x2.  Solve for x2 to get x2 = 6.5.  Do the same with the y stuff:-6.25= \frac{2.75+ y_{2} }{2}.  Multiply both sides by 2 to get-12.5=2.75+y2 and solving for y2 gives you -15.25.  So your answer is the last of your choices above. Phew!

Kelsey buys several pairs of uniform pants for $17.95 each, and a sweater for $24. Jeana shops at a different store and buys sev
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

If both Kelsey and Jeana purchase 6 pairs of uniform pants then they would pay the same amount for their purchases.

Step-by-step explanation:

The information provided is as follows:

  • Kelsey buys several pairs of uniform pants for $17.95 each, and a sweater for $24.
  • Jeana shops at a different store and buys several pairs of uniform pants for $18.95 each, plus a sweater for $18.

The variable <em>x</em> is the number of pairs of pants.

The total cost function for Kelsey will be:

TC_{K}=17.95\cdot x+24

The total cost function for Jeana will be:

TC_{J}=18.95\cdot x+18

Consider that both pay the same total cost for their purchases.

Compute the value of <em>x</em> as follows:

            TC_{K}=TC_{J}

17.95\cdot x+24=18.95\cdot x+18\\\\18.95\cdot x-17.95\cdot x=24-18\\\\x=6

Thus, if both Kelsey and Jeana purchase 6 pairs of uniform pants then they would pay the same amount for their purchases.

What is the answer to 22.5+7(n-3.4)
ruslelena [56]
Expand the given expression.
22.5 + 7(n - 3.4) = 22.5 + 7*n + 7*(-3.4)

Multiply +7 and  -3.4 to obtain - 23.8. Therefore
22.5 + 7(n - 3.4) = 22.5 + 7n - 23.8

Write the constant terms together. Therefore
22.5 + 7(n - 3.4) = 7n + 22.5 - 23.8 = 7n - 1.3

Answer: 7n - 1.3

Liliana used 444 dark power crystals to raise 141414 zombie soldiers. She wants to know how many zombie soldiers (z)(z)left pare
Mariulka [41]

Question is bit incorrect, Correct question is given below.

Liliana used 4 dark power crystals to raise 14 zombie soldiers. She wants to know how many zombie soldiers (z) she can raise with 10 dark power crystals. How many zombie soldiers can Liliana raise with 10 power crystals?

Answer:

Liliana can raise 35 zombie soldiers.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of zombie soldiers raised by 10 dark power crystals be 'z'.

Zombie raised by 4 power crystals = 14

Since the number of zombie and power crystals are in direct proportion.

Therefore, we get

\frac{z}{10}=\frac{14}{4}

Multiply 10 on both the sides, we get

z=\frac{14}{4}\times 10 = 35

Hence, Liliana can raise 35 zombie soldiers.

A referendum failed by a vote of 36 No's and 24 Yes's. To make a pie chart of this result, what is the lesser measure in degrees
Daniel [21]
From the given number of people who voted Yes and No to the referendum, there are 60 people all in all. The fewer of which is 24 which voted as Yes. If we are to construct a pie chart and calculate the measure of the smaller angle, we take the ratio of 24 and 60 and multiply it to 360.

                       measure of angle ACB = (24/60)(360)
                         measure of angle ACB = 144°

Thus, the angle measure 144°.
