The   compound that  could serve  as  a reactant   in the neutralization reaction is    H2SO4

  Explanation
Neutralization reaction occur  between an acids  and a base. H2SO4             (  sulfuric acid)  is  a strong  acid.  It can be neutralized by  strong base such as NaOH ( sodium  hydroxide)

  Example of neutralization reaction is

2NaOH + H2SO4 → Na2SO4  + 2H2O

1. Concentrated HCl is 11.7M. What is the
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

The concentration is 0,2925M

Explanation:

We use the formula

C initial  x V initial = C final x V final

11,7 M x 25 ml = C final x 1000 ml

C final= (11,7 M x 25 ml)/1000 ml = 0, 2925 M

(This formula applies to liquid solutions)

Steam initially at 0.3 MPa, 2500 C is cooled at constant volume. (a) At what temperature will steam become saturated vapour? [12
Scilla [17]

Answer:

a. 123.9°C

b.

c.

Explanation:

Hello, I'm attaching a picture with the numerical development of this exercise.

a. Since the steam is overheated vapour, the specific volume is gotten from the corresponding table. Then, as it became a saturated vapour, we look for the interval in which the same volume of state 1 is, then we interpolate and get the temperature.

b. Now, at 80°C, since it is about a rigid tank (constant volume for every thermodynamic process), the specific volume of the mixture is 0.79645 m^3/kg as well, so the specific volume for the liquid and the vapour are taken into account to get the quality of 0.234.

c. Now,since this is an isocoric process, the heat transfer per kg of steam is computed as the difference in the internal energy, considering the initial condition (showed in a. part) and the final one computed here.

** The thermodynamic data were obtained from Cengel's thermodynamics book 7th edition.

Best regards.

1. If ice is heated at a constant pressure of 0.00512 atm, it will______ . 2. If ice is heated at a constant pressure of 1 atm,
evablogger [386]

Answer:

sublime, melt, condense, deposit

Explanation:

1. When ice is warmed at a steady pressure 0.00512 atm, it will be sublime.

2. It will be melt when ice is warmed at a consistent pressure of 1 atm.

3. If water vapour pressure is continued to increase at a temperature of 100  C, it will be condense.

4. If water vapour pressure is continued to increase at a temperature of -50 C, it will be deposited.

An ice cube measuring 5.80 cm by 5.80 cm by 5.80 cm has a density of 0.917 g/mL What is the mass?
OLga [1]

Answer: 178.9 g

Explanation:

Density = \frac{mass}{volume in mL}

find volume of the cube: (5.80 cm) (5.80 cm) (5.80cm) = 195.112 cm³

1.0 cm³ = 1.0 mL

so 195.112 cm³ = 195.112 mL

plug value into density equation:

0.917 g/mL = (mass) / (195.112 mL)

and solve for mass!
