Velocity = fλ

where f is frequency in Hz, and λ is wavelength in meters.

<span>2.04 * 10⁸ m/s =  5.09 * 10¹⁴  Hz   *  λ </span>

<span>(2.04 * 10⁸ m/s) / (5.09 * 10¹⁴  Hz ) = λ </span>

<span>4.007*10⁻⁷  m =  λ </span>

<span>The wavelength of the yellow light = 4.007*10⁻⁷  m<span> </span></span>

Q 32.35: The isotope 235U decays by alpha emission with a half-life of 7.0 x 108 y. It also decays (rarely) by spontaneous fissi
Julli [10]

Answer:

rate of fission =5.89*10^3 1\Year

Explanation:

we know that

rate of fission is given asrate of fission = \frac{0.69}{(T_{1/2})_{fission}} *\frac{ Mass* Avogardo\ number}{Molar\ mass}

(T_{1/2})_{fission} = 3*10^{17} y

mass = 1.0 g

avogardo number = 6.02*10^23

molar mass of isotopes 235U =235

Putting all value to get rate of emission

rate of fission = \frac{0.69}{3*10^{17}} *\frac{1.0*6.02*10^{23}}{235}

rate of fission =5.89*10^3 1\Year

An ant moves towards the plane mirror with speed of 2 m/s &amp; the mirror is moved towards the ant with the same speed. What is
Stells [14]
  • Speed of ant-V_a=2m/s
  • Speed of mirror =v_b=2m/s

We know

\boxed{\sf Relative\:velocity(V_{AB})=V_A-V_B}

\\ \sf\longmapsto V_{AB}=2-2

\\ \sf\longmapsto V_{AB}=0m/s

What is the freezing point of radiator fluid that is 50% antifreeze by mass? k f for water is 1.86 ∘ c/m?
densk [106]
Ethylene glycol is termed as the primary ingredients in antifreeze.
The ethylene glycol molecular formula is C₂H₆O₂.
Molar mass of C₂H₆O₂ is = (2×12) +(6×1) + (216) = 62g/mol
Now that antifreeze by mass is 50%, then there is 1kg of ethylene glycol which is present in 1kg of water.
ΔTf = Kf×m
ΔTf = depression in the freezing point.
= freezing point of water freezing point of the solution
= O°c - Tf
= -Tf
Kf = depression in freezing constant of water = 1.86°C/m
M is the molarity of the solution.
=(mass/molar mass) mass of solvent in kg
=1000g/62 (g/mol) /1kg
=16.13m
If we plug the value we get
-Tf = 1.86 × 16.13 = 30
Tf = -30°c

A 1000-kg car is driving toward the north along a straight horizontal road at a speed of 20.0 m/s. The driver applies the brakes
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

Explanation:

mass of car, m = 1000 kg

initial velocity, u = 20 m/s

final velocity, v = 0 m/s

distance, s = 120 m

Let a be the acceleration of motion

use third equation of motion

v² = u² + 2 as

0 = 20 x 20 + 2 x a x 120

a = - 1.67 m/s²

Let F be the force

Force, F  mass x acceleration

F = - 1000 x 1.67

F = - 1666.67 N

The direction of force is towards south and the magnitude of force is 1666.67 N.
