If the adjusted ratio was 2:7, then

2x is the number of pull-ups

and

7x is the number of box jumps.

You can state that since he completed 63 box jumps at the end of his training, then

7x=63,

x=9

and

2x=18.

The total number of exercises performed is 2x+9x=18+63=81.

As at start the ratio was 5:4, then

5y was the number of pull-ups

and

4y was the number of box jumps.

Therefore, 5y+4y=81,

9y=81,

y=9

and 5y=45, 4y=36.

Answer: Initially: 45 pull-ups and 36 box jumps. At the end: 18 pull-ups and 63 box jumps.

Ruby wants to start her own business taking photographs. She already has her own camera, but needs to purchase lights, a photo p
dangina [55]

Ruby wants to <u>start</u> her own <u>business</u> taking photographs. She has to <u>purchase</u>

  • photo printer for $251.99;
  • lights for $150.00;
  • photo paper for $30.98.

In total, she will use

$251.99 + $150.00 + $30.98 = $432.97.

If she has $840.32 in savings, then

$840.32 - $432.97 = $407.35 will remain.

Answer: she will use $432.97 - correct answer A

One of the sides of a parallelogram is 4.2 cm and the altitude to that side is 3.6 cm. Find the perimeter of the parallelogram i
dexar [7]

Area of parallelogram = base * height
base 1 = 4.2 cm
height 1 = 3.6 cm
∴ Area = 4.2 * 3.6 = 15.12

let the other base 2 = x
∴ the altitude of this base = height 2 = 2.4
∴Area = 2.4 x = 15.12
Solve for x
                 ∴ x = 6.3 cm

∴ The perimeter of parallelogram = 2( base 1 + base 2)
                                                      = 2 ( 4.2 + 6.3 ) = 21 cm

Juliette [100K]
The best group to take a sample from would be the eighth graders because they are the ones who will be participating in the dance, so they should have the most input.

What is the following simplified product? Assume x greater-than-or-equal-to 0 (StartRoot 10 x Superscript 4 Baseline EndRoot min
9966 [12]

Answer:

\bold{10x^4\sqrt{6}+x^3\sqrt{30x}-10x^4\sqrt{3}-x^3\sqrt{15x}}

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:

Simplified product of:

(\sqrt{10x^4}-x\sqrt{5x^2})(2\sqrt{15x^4}+\sqrt{3x^3})

Solution:

First of all, let us have a look at some of the formula:

1. (a+b) (c+d) = ac+bc+ad+bd

2. a^b\times a^c =a^{b+c }

3. \sqrt{a^{2b}} = \sqrt{a^b.a^b}=a^b

4. \sqrt a  \times \sqrt b = \sqrt{a\times b}

Now, let us apply the above formula to solve the given expression.

(\sqrt{10x^4}-x\sqrt{5x^2})(2\sqrt{15x^4}+\sqrt{3x^3})\\\\\Rightarrow(\sqrt{10x^4})(2\sqrt{15x^4})+(\sqrt{10x^4})(\sqrt{3x^3})-(x\sqrt{5x^2})(2\sqrt{15x^4})-(x\sqrt{5x^2})(\sqrt{3x^3})\\\\\Rightarrow2\sqrt{150x^8}+\sqrt{30x^7}-2x\sqrt{75x^6}-x\sqrt{15x^5}\\\\\Rightarrow\bold{10x^4\sqrt{6}+x^3\sqrt{30x}-10x^4\sqrt{3}-x^3\sqrt{15x}}

The answer is:

\bold{10x^4\sqrt{6}+x^3\sqrt{30x}-10x^4\sqrt{3}-x^3\sqrt{15x}}
