Let x be the number of cupcakes sold and y be the number of muffins sold.

Income earned on x cupcakes and y muffins is 3x+2y.

And Expenses on x cupcakes and y muffins is 0.75x+0.5y.

Given that earned money on cup cakes and muffins is at least 300$.

That is 3x+2y ≥ 300

And also given that expenses are no more than 100$

That is 0.75x+0.5y ≤ 100

Now we have to find the ordered pairs among the given options satisfying above 2 inequalities.

a) 3x+2y = 3*32.5+ 2*140 = 377.5>300

  0.75x+0.5y = 0.75*32.5+0.5*140 = 94.375<100

Hence first pair is satisfying.

Like this we can conclude that (60,70) and (79,42.5) and (80,80) are also satisfying the above conditions.

Hence correct options are a,c,d and e.

A worker is paid rs. 2130 for 6 days .if his total wage during a month is rs. 9230 find the number of days he worked in the mont
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

26 days

Step-by-step explanation:

If 6 days = rs. 2130

then 1 day = (2130 × 1) ÷ 6

Therefore 1 day = rs 355

For rs. 9230, the number of days he worked:

= 9230 ÷ 355

= 26 days

a woman is looking for a bigger square office. she finds an office twice the area of her square office. if the perimeter is 88ft
UNO [17]

Answer:

Option C is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of current office = 88 ft

We have perimeter = 4a , where a is the side of square.

Equating

4a = 88

a = 22 sqft

Area of current office = a x a = 22 x 22 = 484 square feet.

Area of new office is twice the area of current office.

Area of new office = 2 x 484 = 968 square feet.

Option C is the correct answer.
