Noah is studying dogs to determine their interest in blue toys versus red toys. He splits a group of 20 dogs into 2 groups. One

group is given blue toys and the other is given red toys. Noah has the dogs play with the toys until they lose interest. He finds that the dogs that had blue toys played with them 2 minutes longer than the dogs that played with red toys. Noah rerandomizes the data, calculates the difference between the means, and creates the dot plot shown below. Based on the data, can Noah conclude the difference is significant?.

Yes, Noah can conclude the difference is significant because a 2 minute difference is not likely to happen by chance

There must be something that exist between the dogs and the color that could  determine this outcome

hope this helps

Noah re randomizes the data, calculates the difference between the means, and creates the dot plot shown below. Based on the data, can Noah conclude the difference is significant?

Answer: by looking at the graph we can make the conclusion that Yes, Noah can conclude the difference is significant because a 2-minute difference is not likely to happen by chance. Please see the graph in the attachments.

I hope it helps, Regards.

Carl scored 32 on the ACT mathematics Test and 730 on the mathematics portion of the SAT. If the ACT Math Test had a mean score
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

Carl's ACT grade had a higher z-score, which means that he earned a better score with respect to his peers on the ACT test.

Step-by-step explanation:

Z-score

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

On which exam did Carl earn a better score with respect to his peers?

On whichever exam he had the higher z-score.

SAT

Scored 730, mean 516, standard deviation 116. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{730 - 516}{116}

Z = 1.84

ACT

Scored 32, mean 21, standard deviation 5.3. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{32 - 21}{5.3}

Z = 2.08

Carl's ACT grade had a higher z-score, which means that he earned a better score with respect to his peers on the ACT test.

An artist wants to make alabaster pyramids using a block of alabaster with a volume of 576 cubic inches. She plans to make each
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]
Given:
volume of the block = 576 cubic inches
Square pyramid = base area : 3 square inches ; height = 4 inches

Volume of square pyramid = a² * h/3
V = 3 square inches * 4inches/3
V = 4 cubic inches

volume of block / volume of square pyramid
576 cubic inches / 4 cubic inches = 144

She can make 144 square pyramids.

The weight of Jacob’s backpack is made up of the weight of the contents of the backpack as well as the weight of the backpack it
Dafna11 [192]
If the backpack (b) contains only textbooks (t) and notebooks (n), the total weight of the backpack is:

b+t+n

but notebooks are 4 pounds, so actually:

b+t+4

also, the backpack weights 2 pounds, so the total weight is:

2+t+4 =t+6
 now, "Seventy percent of <span> the total weight is textbooks. ", this means that

t=70%(t+6) - this equation can be used to determine the weight of the textbooks!
